Victors parents were Captain Marach Strom of the Liberty Navy and Eschina Strom, a former Liberty Security Force Lieutenant. In 795 A.S. Marach was a Lieutenant in command of a Liberty Navy gunboat and in charge of a small task force consisting of two gunboats, four Defender heavy fighters, and an Upholder bomber. Marach and his force were docked at Baltimore Shipyard for a routine maintenance check. Moments after Marach's gunboat finished its check up, he received a distress call from a near by transport. The transport had been hijacked by a group of Rouges and was being taken to a hidden base in the Pittsburgh Debris Field. With the rest of Marachs still being inspected, he knew he had no time to waste.
Marach made haste for the coordinates provided in the message. moments before he arrived at the rouge base, he got word that his force had finished the inspection and set course for the base with reinforcements. When he arrived at the base, he could not believe what he saw. There was a Goliath class station just like Fort Bush. he had no idea how they secretly built a base of that magnitude and he didn't care, he was only concerned about rescuing the transport hostages. Before he could hail the station, twenty rouge fighters came out of the docking bays and fired upon the lone gunboat. The reinforcements came just as the last rouge fighter launched from the station.
The battle was over as quickly as it started, the rouge fighters seemed too easy for their own good. It's possible that they were under the influence of cardamine. It didn't matter though, Marach knew he had to finish the task at hand. With the large force under Marachs command, entering the space station and finding the transport crew was no problem. Among the rescued was a LSF Lieutenant named Eschina Colman. Two weeks before, Eschina and her two wing-man were responding to a anonymous complaint about an increase in rouge activity, that's when they got ambushed and captured. She also told Marach that the base was built to train new rouge recruits and that all the fighters they had killed were a group of "fresh off the shuttle" individuals. they had no idea what they were getting themselves into.
Once every one was clear of the space station, Marach ordered the destruction of the rouge base. Upon their return to Plant Manhattan, the transport crew returned to their normal duties despite everything that had happened and Eschina was dismissed from her duties. Marach respectfully denied the "Lone Star" metal that the President wanted to give him because he did not think he should deserve it for killing twenty or so untrained kids. Though, Marach did not deny a promotion to Captain and the Liberty Dreadnought put under his command. One year later, Marach and Eschina got married and started a new life on Planet Erie, Pennsylvania. two year after, Victor was born and life couldn't seem any better for the new family.
As a young boy, Victor was not like most children. He was not interested in playing sports or playing those virtual reality games. Instead, he often sat inside his fathers personal ship and pretended he was flying around with the best Navy fighters, fighting in amazing battles worth telling generations to come. When his father's ship was in orbit around Planet Erie just about to leave for another mission, Marach would start a video transmission with Victor in the personal ship. Victor would pretend to be the best fighter pilot under the command of the best Navy leader Liberty had. But instead of always fighting battles, they would some time simulate a mission of peace. That was a dream Victor wanted to become reality.
When Victor was a teenager, once again, he was not interested in the stuff other people his age were. instead, Victor preferred to study military regulations and tactics. Victor was not a violent person though. He would rather solve a situation peacefully before resorting to violence. Every Saturday, Eschina would give Victor personal hand-to-hand combat training and on Sundays she would give him lessons on how to pilot a fighter ship. The thought of peace among the four houses never left his mind. but that idea would soon be forgotten.
Two months after Victors sixteenth birthday, the Liberty Navy received an anonymous tip that a small Rheinland fleet was forming in the Bering system and Marachs force were to personally respond to this potential threat. Victor begged his father to try and end the situation in a peaceful manner and Marach promised he would do what he can to avoid a fight. But that was the one promise he could not keep. Moments before Marachs battleship could enter the Bering system, the great LNS Nightfall had mysteriously been destroyed. A Rheinland spy had planted a bomb within the main powercore room. before the bomb detonated, the spy had escaped the battleship and retreated to the Rheinland fleet waiting in Bering. The explosion cause major damage to the larger ships in the Liberty fleet and were forced to retreat.
Only two hours after the explosion, Captain Samuel Den (Marachs best friend) personally delivered the devastating news to Eschina and Victor. Victor instantly broke out into tears, he refused to believe that his father had been killed. Without thinking, Victor ran away to the only place he felt better when he was upset about anything, his father personal ship. When Eschina found him, he simply said "I will become the best the navy has ever seen and I will find the man who did this, I promise you this". Three days later, after Marachs funeral, Eschina told Victor that she was going away for a while and that Samuel Den was going to watch over him, Victor did not have to ask where she was going. She was last seen boarding a Interspace Transport ship leaving for Rhainland space, no one has heard from her since that day.
At the age of eighteen, with the help of Samuel Den, Victor enrolled into the "Space Force Academy" on Planet Erie. He spent one year at the Academy involved in military training, 6 months at Norfolk Shipyard studying Navy ships, and 6 months on the Battleship Gettysburg as an acting Ensign practicing battle situations. Graduating from the academy at the age of twenty, Victor now uses his fathers ship to take up freelancing, but he only accepts missions from the Liberty Navy. He currently awaits for a response from the Liberty Navy in regards to his application.
