I hope you are well and your people making progress during the economic summit.
Our joint operations in the past seem to have executed well, with no inter-rank strife.
When your House led the way with the nationalisation of gates and lanes, we took heart from your fine example. Now, nearly three hundred years later, we find ourselves closer than ever before.
Your corporations have traded well here consistently, and the same can be said of our traders with Rheinland '€“ this mutually beneficial relationship should serve as solid ground for more involved diplomacy.
Though we cannot take your side in the war with Liberty, we understand that it must be a constant source of pain and cost for you. The recent events involving Interspace have begun to become commercially visible to us, and we understand that the government are engaged in efforts to solve this problem.
It this history between our Houses and our military that prompts me to address you concerning further joint operations.
Liberty are obviously a threat to you, and lately we have had cause to fear their wrath. In an effort to help control the advance of possible strikes into our territories, I propose the preparation of the Sakoku policy: simultaneous destruction of the Gates to Hudson & Bering, and Galileo & Kepler.
Obviously this will require unprecedented offensive power, and could have catastrophic consequences due to the mysteries of jump holes. And of course the event would affect traffic flow to and from our houses. It is not an ideal solution and would be employed only if the situation seemed dire, for instance in the case of major offensive retaliation by Liberty. I recommend that we prepare for such a strike '€“ so that we are ready to employ it.
I believe that with sufficient anti-matter, we would be able to create an explosion capable of destroying the gates. The logistics of system-wide evacuation for all non-essential personnel is my primary concern, though containment and components of the devices should be carefully considered. On this latter point I would appreciate consultation from your own scientists.
May your way remain clear,
[color=#FFFFFF]Bakuryō-chō taru Kaishō Takahashi,
Kusari Naval Forces.

Guten Tag Bakuryō-chō taru Kaishō Takahashi of the Kusari naval forces

I'm very satisfied how the relations between our houses are improving.
Not only in trading but as far I can tell we find many parts where we can cooperate togather. It seems the orientation to Kusari was the right choice.

The war with Liberty is lasting longer than expected, the battles are becomming very tiresome. Even though our technology is superior to them, our forces trained better as theirs, yet they have the unlimited numbers what cause the unbalance in our fight.

For now, we can hold the ground, pushing the front outside of Rheinland space, in the borderlands Hudson and Bering. Since I do not want to go into details, your idea is quite new to our fighting technique.

But we are in desperate times, as the borderlands cannot be hold forever and the progress of the Liberty forces into Rheinland space seems inavitable.

I will talk with Kanzler Rheinhardt about this personally and only he can decide whether we shall slow them down with this move and gather our forces and strenght.

You have to understand that this is not an easy move and has to be discussed carefully.

I thank you for contacting me in order to strike togather agaisnt the Libertonian fools. The decision will be made in the upcomming days and I will contact you right the way in order to discuss the details...

Konnichiwa Admiral, I am sorry to hear that the conflict has been sustained for longer than predicted, but am glad if there is some small consolation found in your ties with other Houses. I believe that our mutual support is vital to our survival.
I agree that caution and wisdom should be applied to this situation and thank you for considering it with the Kanzler, I understand that it is not an easy decision and should not be rushed. I have debated long over even mentioning the possibility of it, but in the interests of a closer co-ordination between us and preparedness, I resolved that your House would understand.
I see this as a defensive operation, though I realise that any operation which slows an enemy could be considered offensive. We have no desire to strike at Liberty, this scenario merely anticipates potential hostility from them.
I appreciate your time and attention, arigatou Admiral.
May your days be long,

Konnichiwa Admiral.

I'm contacting you on behalf of Kusari Naval Forces,
and want to inform you that we already started preparations for implementation of the Sakoku policy.

After some calculations our scientist came to conclusion that to mine two gates we would need ten thousand units of HAZMAT Canisters, therefore we are requesting permission for [KNF] convoy to enter rheinland space and transport those materials. Convoy will consist of 3 naval transports, and 2 naval escort fighters.
If this is not acceptable, we can contact directly ALG, but we think all that bureaucracy will take alot of time.

We hope that there won't be any problems with approval of our request.

Also we wish to remind you that we still didn't receive your answer.

***INCOMING RHEINLAND TRANSMISSION***

[font=Century Gothic]Bakuryō-chō taru Kaishō Takahashi,

I do not see a reason why we should shut the jumpgates to the borderlands we are fighting for.
The war is far from over, the Libertonians will fall, there are no doubts about it. The shut down of the jumpgates would only slower our progress.

Rheinland will be once again victorious.

Of course we understand your reasons and I have nothing against you picking up the necessary materials for your action in order to weaken the House of Liberty.

Contact my admirals to arrange the date of the convoy, since we cannot allow that cargo fall into the hands of our enemies.

Konnichiwa Kanzler Nikolaus Rheinhardt, arigatou for your reply. I can well understand your Houses decision to keep your options open.
I thank you for facilitating our progress with our own initiative, we will co-ordinate with Admiral Weissman on the matter of secure transport, as well as any further matters that relate to our mutual security.
May your ancestors smile upon you,
