My latest experiences bring some problem viz raming and shooting shooting while 'awaiting' to respond after some RP demand,
(apparently) in the name of rules that is not forbiden until taget is not destroyed.
But...May I say it from the other side of the medal
While Your ship is ramed and continuously fired it's hard to focus on the text somebody is send to You.
Also it makes hard to talk properly, since there is no way to type and dodge at the same time,
plus some of text could be unnoticed when whole screen is spinning.
For me it's like You ask someone a question - demand an answer but the same time hit him in the face
each time he try open his mouth and then eventually kill him for not respond.
Secondly - because ship is systematically damaged it's dificult to say is You are already attacked or just pocke to pay quicker.
And the same time draw a line beetween safe and hostile situation (since You have right to defend Yourself in the face of danger)
In sum - IMHO raming and shooting shooting while 'awaiting' to respond is an abuse of the rules,
and should be forbiden by the rules.

It's just how it is. Different types will react differently - I understand you got jumped by Xenos and they have a history of being particularly nasty to outsiders, whereas most profit-oriented traditional pirates tend to give more time to respond before using guns to speed up the process. Sadly guns are needed to speed up procrastinating traders 7 out of 10 times, it's as much (if not more) the trader's fault as it is the pirates'.
Just stay calm, reply to the pirate and make sure you dish out those credits fast, rather than focus on your ship getting slammed about and shot at. I know it's difficult but rest assured that rules-wise they can't kill you before having stated a demand and given you time to respond, no matter what abuse they are putting your ship through.
The ramming is super annoying though, but I guess it got taken out of the rules because it is impossible to prove and thus sanction.

My thoughts are that you should think about the rules less, and RP more.
If someone is ramming and shooting you, its either time to fight back, run, or get down on your knees and beg, depending on your ability. Its not time to have a chat.
I also got jumped by a bunch of xenos on my OSC, they also started shooting my guns off while we talked, so I said F*@k it, called in backup, and legged it.

Ok, but I wonder is that not goes under 0.0 or rule about give a proper time to respond,
since You are unable to respond properly while You are attaced.
Usually that works, since I usualy meet pirates who in tops limite his actions to take the shield down.

In RP - there are not 'chat' but exchange of voice transmissions, and all speach could be easly drowned out the sound of destroyed armor.
always considered myself as a quite good RPer... and I try always act like it is real.

Maybe your english isnt so good, but chat originally referred to normal talking. In real life criminals may well ask their victims questions, then hit them when they try to respond. You're still thinking about ruleplay not roleplay.

Ramming in caps was forbidden once, until the ram-damage got implemented.
Iirc that damage got removed now, without restoring the rule.

I do not see any fun in being bully here, as I do not see that fun in RL.
The diference is that in RL They will be arested / put in the jail / under the care of curator.
Here we have some rules for some purpouse the same as we have laws in RL.

Do not get me wrong - I'm ok with being pirated or even sometimes killed if there is RP on it
not the chase after blue message.
