Hey All,

I'm accessing the forums via my <strike>life-saving</strike> tethered internet connection, and I've noticed that the site uses a lot of bandwidth.

Is there any way I can use less bandwidth without switching to the Lo-Fi Version? (it sucks)

disable signatures and avatars or find a plugin for your browser that stops any image larger than 128kb from loading

Disabling all images, animations being loaded in browser could help.

Plus what Puv already suggested.

That. Once we get new forum software, one of our goals will be to have a mobile version.

At least one of my goals will be. And that'll probably be me bothering the snot out of Cannon.

Get Opera mini and put low quality option for images. This mobile browser saves my traffic for five years already.

What do you mean? Opera Mini is a mobile version of Opera browser, there are different versions for smartphones (but there is no Opera Mini for WP7 for now) and a Java edition as well (for most of the phones).

Opera mini (on java) ond mini only ( for all others, mobile works as ordinary browser and does not shrink pages).
Just my suggestion for everyone who wants fast, traffic efficient browser on his / her phone, smartphone, PDA, ect.

And I could misunderstood the OP...sorry if so.

I dunno, the thread title did a pretty good job of leading us to think it was for mobile applications.
