Hey, guys, don't you think it's a time to fix this "little" girl?
I've bought one of these yesterday, and I must say that it's terrible! This "light" GB is 2nd in terms of turning speed, but what's then? It's so fat that it won't ever help! She's about 1.5x wider than Orca!
I tried to do anti-GB missions on it and totally failed. I was nearly killed...
So, what do we have? A super-secretly-constructed gunsboat which can not even complete a mission.
She has 6 turrets firing forward, 3 on sides, 4 backwards and 4 upwards/downwards, standard 400k-powercore... Isn't too much for such a fatty one, huh?
So, I should ask: What do we pay for?:rtfm: I know it once had 65k armor... But the only +15k armor buff won't save this fatty from enemies.:angry:

I personally call it the flying coffin, and I got rid of mine. Can't even use a cap 8 anymore because guns and shields now use cargo.

Yeah, it's not very good. Turret-steering made it a lot worse, since it can only 4 guns in any direction except directly in front of it. So you have to fly it like a snub to get any decent firepower out of it. That's also true of the Kusari GB but that ship is way smaller and so the size+agility makes up for the lack of damage, similar concept to the bottlenose. If the hacker gunboat were cut down to the same size as those ships it could take the same role. Right now its too big for its limited firepower in a turret-view universe.
Claymore is bad too for the same reasons

It was bad in 4.85, now it is tragic. The model is specifically bad for FL because it has cruiser like wide profile so it cannot proper dodge at all.
Mate found a hungarian guy to make new model for it, dunno why it didn't worked out and it was not added to 4.86.
With the hackers losing their tech and as only hacker ship being useless in PvP I cannot see bright future for the faction. Pushing for new GS model and may be new LH specific assault trans that relies on technology(modules) is the way to go, you need good modeler, good is that you got the skype stuff sorted at least.

Always loved the slightly 50's Cadillac look to it, like Elvis would fly it after he left Earth....
It flies very nearly like a snub too, but man, as stated, its a deathtrap.
Anyone with even a rudimentary knowledge of aiming can kill it in their sleep.
Love it in concept.
Hate it in practice.

I still have the files for the replace you know. CMP and MAT anyway, though it needs hardpointing and hitboxing.

As for the Claymore, that thing is highly agile, that's why it's arcs aren't the best available.

Which is strange even to me because when I looked at it I thought it'd do great... But no matter how I fly it, the sucker can't even come close to what all the other GB's do.
On the other hand, Lane Hacker GS is actually a good average for GBs. I can take one toe to toe with all other pilots cept the Bottlenose.
