General Discussions - Tunicle - 09-06-2012
After a couple of threads, the latest being today I was wondering if there was a general admin type feedback forum where players and admins could have sensible discussions and clarifications.
Or do admins just pop in if needed.
Some sorts of people would never dream of posting anything remotely confrontational in a forum so wondering how this sort of feedback can happen.
Or is it not sought?

Well, feedback for forum staff could probably be pasted in the Site and Board Feedback area. So long as it's level, constructive and calm, there shouldn't be a problem. The issue is, generally this kind of feedback involves some form of trial by forum or the discussion of sanctions. That's a no-go.
In that kind of situation, it's best to PM an Admin directly here on the forum, or by Skype. They'll then discuss the case in their private batcave and get back to you when they're done. I'll ask for official clarification when I get home.

Mainly ask because I always pm the same admin and worry about putting onto him.

Sorry playing Devils advocate here
But i think Admin really have a lot on the plate at times
Might even have RL jobs and family to take care off
Would this simplify the work or just add more labor
It sounds like a good thing to get admins more involved in the community
But to be honest i would love to see them more in game then on the forum
in game is where it all happens anyway
And yes i was caught by admin in game but i dont regret it
Another server where i used to be for example Admins had more leasure time and less rubble to sort
Which means they had more time to host more fun in game events
Like admin would take on for example a terrorist char that the community need to help hunt down
the first one to get the "Admin" (terrorist) gets paid 25M credits
This braught some extra spark to the game
and such events came at any time and was announced via console
so it could happen any time
And trust me you never new which ship the bugger would be in
one day its a starflier the next time his in the meanest machine of a battleship
The hunt spanned over many systems and braught grate fun
Personally id like them more active in game then in a sea of endless text
for banns there is threads for serious problems there is pm's and even skype
More Game time is what i would like to see from the admins
But thats just my opinion and i dont oppose yours in any way it might serve a good purpose to
