A quiet celebration. - Rodent - 09-07-2012 A quiet and medium sized establishment, just outside one of Manhattan's posh areas. The location ensured that while the quality of the establishment was good and sound, the drinks were not too expensive. It had been cleared off a day in advance for the planned event. Towards the afternoon, the preparations begun. They were spearheaded by a gaggle of turban wearing heavily built people, and in the middle was the organiser. Daler Mehndi looked around for a brief moment. Then he turned and yelled at one of them oafs who were slacking. Ever since he'd got at least a tacit nod of approval from the Navy establishment, Mehndi was putting all of his off duty hours into organizing this, and it was coming to a head. The cost had been exorbitant, but he'd been able to afford it. An immensely long history of serving in Liberty's military at some rank or the other had helped both reputation as well as finances. The established was named "Rolling Stones", for some unknown reason. Mehndi didn't particularly care. He'd intimidated the owner into a far more reasonable price for a complete package, at least. There were benefits for having a reputation for being aggressive and possibly violent. Food was also part of the deal, but Mehndi had brought in additions, home made ones. It'd be amusing to see the reactions to that. Entertainment was all his though. He grinned at that thought. He'd brought in his support and his band, and all the equipment. They now were all connected and readied on the stage. Synthesizers, some more electronic equipment, massive speakers, and a few instruments like drums and the like. Some spare guitars and assorted musical instruments lay in a pack, should any one of the guests feel the urge to indulge his or her musical talent. As the evening drew closer, finally everything was in readiness. Mehndi hurried off to change, and put on a traditional garment that he'd always used for special occasions. This was one such. He gave the place one last look. Now was the time to wait and run through the rehearsals one final time in his head. A quiet celebration. - Korny - 09-07-2012 Catherine, who arrived as one of the first few guests, entered the establishment with a rather criticizing glare on her eyes. Wearing her casual pair of cargo pants in navy-blue, and a white, simple tank top, she made her way to the main "attraction", which is, of course, the bar. Since she's not too much into alcohol, not anymore anyway, she just ordered a simple cappuccino, and sat down on one of the bar stools while still scanning the area, trying to spot anyone she usually talks with, without success. "Well lets hope this is actually worth the time..." She said to herself while sipping from her cup. A quiet celebration. - Jeremy Hunter - 09-08-2012 Alexis Hunter had spent forever looking through her clothes. It was one of the few vices she had; and the fact she was hoping Cat was there. After dismissing dresses and skirts, Alexis decided on a pair of faded blue jeans and a black button-up shirt. Leaving her hair down. - My hair doesn't't clash with my shirt...that much... she slid on her most comfortable shoes- a pair of black and red sneakers - she made sure Seraphim and Rika wouldn't burn down the apartment complex, tasked Strix and Violet with watching the two, made sure Izzy wasn't about to leave before she got home, then borrowed Izzy's car keys and went to the parking garage to find the mSmassive black four-door pickup that Izzy had labored on for months. Alexis pulled into traffic and headed on her way. _____________________________________________ She pulled up to the establishment and parked, locking the doors of Izzy's prized vehicle. She kicked her shoes into the ground to adjust them, then stepped inside. Finding herself one of the first, Alexis wandered around, looking for someone she knew. When she finally spotted Catherine, she smiled happily and jogged over. Slowing down as she approached, Alexis deftly wrapped her arms around Catherine's waist and nestled her chin on the other woman's shoulder. "Hey Cat!" She smiled, angling her head to look at Catherine's face. A quiet celebration. - Korny - 09-08-2012 She jumped slightly in surprise, turning her head a little to make out Alexis' face with a sigh and taking a bit of distance between them. "What the hell are you doing?" She mumbled quietly, before turning around on the barstool and taking Alexis' arms off her, smiling slightly. "I told you, I don't really want everyone to know we're more than colleagues...Take a seat, on the other stool I mean." Catherine sighed, and took another sip from her cup, turning back around to face the bar, hiding the blush on both of her cheeks, out of embarrassment. A quiet celebration. - Jeremy Hunter - 09-08-2012 "I was saying hello." Alexis responded. Smiling, she took the barstool and asked for some vodka. Unlike Catherine, Alexis would have a few.drinks, occasionally...maybe more, depending on her mood. "Sorry, sorry...I was just happy to see you." She glanced over to. Catherine. "Don't hold it against me?" Alexis' drink was delivered, and she downed it in one go. Shots of vodka never lasted long in the hands of a Hunter. "So, I half-expected you not to be here...didn't think this was your kind of thing." A quiet celebration. - Pacific - 09-08-2012 Angelina heard about this party and decided to show up sence she had some time off from her duty she got on her dress and went to the Rolling Stones as she entered she looked around and smirked " Not a bad place lets see where this goes." Saw Hunter and Raven and decided to come to them. "She said evening ladies. How are you all doing." She smirked and nodded. A quiet celebration. - Jeremy Hunter - 09-08-2012 Alexiz glanced up at Angelina, hand already holding another glass of vodka. "Hello Captain." She said, smiling. "You look nice. Is that a new dress?" She inquired politely, considering she knew little about Dimitrova to begin with. Alexis also kept an eye out for Clark. And readied her left hand for a left hook to the face. Becsuse it was fun to punch Commander Clark. A quiet celebration. - Haphestus - 09-08-2012 Clark walked into club quietly wearing nothing more than pants, a singlet and a concealed weapon. "Me, dress up one of these things? That will be the day" He thought to himself. Clark walked over to a corner and observed the area. Clark checked all his available exits and ran situations through his mind. Clark had never liked these kind of events. They where crowded, stuffy , had little cover and usually had one main entrance an exit with another exit round the back. He then surveyed the musical equipment and thought to himself "Yeah, they are not going to play the music i like." Clark waled over to the bar and sat down on a stool. "I'll have a scotch, 2 cubes of ice" Clark told the bartender, who looked a bit sleazy to him. The bartender gave him his scotch and sneered at the small tip Clark gave him. Clark picked up the glass of scotch and turned his stool around, sipping it. "What the hell am i doing here?" he murmured to himself. A quiet celebration. - Korny - 09-08-2012 Catherine glared at Alexis with a little smile "It isn't my kind of thing indeed...but well, there wasn't anything else to do, so I thought I'd look around and see how it goes." She then glared up at Dimitrova, looking somewhat annoyed already, and nodded "Evening to you, Captain." A quiet celebration. - Alley - 09-08-2012 The taxi stopped next to the bar, two girls coming out of it before the door closed and it resumed it's duty. "I'm not sure this is a good idea. Your knowledge of human society codes and general behavior is still extremely slim." said one of them, checking her pocket at the same time. "It is critical to improve such knowledge for the benefit of my children. It is only through such occasions that this knowledge can be gained and the data analysed." monotonely answered the other. "You need to be more... human you know. They aren't lab rats, try to have some emotions or something... just... well. You'll find out. Remember the details of the identity we created for you. Let's go." In the small crowd that was moving inside the Rolling Stones, it was not extremely difficult to notice the two purple haired women. One of them headed for the counter and ordered a glass of wine, while the other one sat on a couch in a corner of the bar, looking at those that were already inside the bar with her purple coloured eyes. |
