<strike>To confirm.
No.

You need a new character/ship to go loot it if you want to loot it again.

Thus the "CSV codehunters" you often hear about.</strike>

Didn't see the part about restarts.

Still probably not. It's tied to the character you created so shouldn't be able to.

You are talking about Discovery 24/7 server?

If so the looting isn't a per character, but per server restart.

Also, if you loot wreck A, deleted your char and made again, with the exact name you had previously, do you get chance to loot wreck A?

It's both. Once per character and once per server restart.

A ship is defined by a file on the server (basically a savegame). Everything that is permanent is stored in that file, EG items in the hold, credits in the bank, systems you visited, reputation with factions, and yes shipwrecks you looted, they are all in that file.

If you delete the ship, you delete the file. Creating another ship results in a new file being created.

As for your original question, AFAIK, /restart just recreates the file and therefore would have the same result, however I'm not completely sure about it. There are also time limits that prevent /restart from being used after the ship has had NN minutes of game play, so I'm not sure it would be a viable strategy.

You can only loot a wreck once per ship.

The server restart just recreates the shipwreck, so that everybody has another chance at it. If you've already looted the wreck, you get nothing.

I find this entire idea HILARIOUS. The idea that you can only loot a gun once per ship is a farce.

*Sits with her 4 claymores looted with the same GRN fighter.*
