Well, its come time for me to name another pair of characters, a Blood Dragon and an Outcast, and I hunted through a few things and found some links y'all might be interested in. Here ya go.

Rheinland (German) names:
Giant pile of names, as well as their meanings.

Not as many names if I recall, but also gives meaning.

Wikipedia surname listing

Kusari (Japanese) names:
Miracle worker, gives a giant pile of names and their meanings.

Great resource, gives surnames by region.

Outcast/Corsair (Hispanic) names:
More from one of the sites above, check out the rest of the site for even more names.

Enjoy!

EDIT: Oh yeah, if you have any sites you use, just post them and I'll tack them onto the list.

I hope the order's ok with my use of a japanese-derived name, I've had it in mind for a while now. She was born in kusari after all..

If she's Kusari born, anything not Japanese would be fishy, I would think.

Mostly kusari by blood, father was a bretonian / other mix. It doesnt have much of an impact on the character though, she was raised in kusari and went from civilian, to trader escort, to naval pilot, to Order agent.

If you need some proper German names, you could ask some board members, for example. (Like me.:P) Should be no problem to get appropriate names for you.

Say, I know Libertonian (American) names are terribly easy, but does anyone have anything for good, Bretonian (British) sounding names?

What about some pool thread, where all of us could request special names from all over the world and people who live in the regions would give hints or examples? (Okay... bad sentence, but I think you know what I mean.:))

Well anywaym good idea... Before all we need to stop gently thost with "Cool" names, from my point of wiev kinda stupid names (For ship or/and pilot, still not suitable). Lot of people are using simply... very strange and ooRP names...You see, nicknames, codenames, real names... but names like "I_Rulezzz, Aaaaaa8, etc etc" .... I dont thing itr very nice. No offense to anyone...

That's kind of why I made this thread, is so we can get more nice, good names, and less callsigns and just plain weird stuff. aFraidOfn01 is NOT a good name for a battleship. Sheesh. Maybe weird ooRP names should be a sanctionable offense if you can't back it up? </wishful thinking>
