The Log of "The Amanda" Rhino Freighter
Captain Taylor Mackey
#1: The First Days
====================================
My name is Taylor Mackey. I am the recent self appointed Captain of my ship - a Rhino freighter - The Amanda. I do not want to get into the reasons behind the naming of my ship but as anyone could guess it has to do with something I've left back on Planet Eerie. I've decided to keep this log for not only records that I may use during my travels and endeavors, but also in case anything should happen to me during these travels. I know how dangerous space can be... I've heard all the stories from the old pilots while growing up - stories of Rogues, Xenos, and the rest of the such. I always felt I had a calling to the skies. I finally was able to save up enough money to purchase my ship and get out to where I felt I belong. At this time, I have no intention of working for anyone but myself; this may change in the future. As a young 22 year old entrepreneur I'm sure I am more ambitious than I should be.

Today is the day I take off and begin my journey. I intend to head towards New London. I hear that there is some good haul there - We'll see... I do not know what lies ahead of me but I am more than willing to take it all on. I didn't have enough money to buy any good weaponry for my Rhino so I am afraid that the begin of my journey will be a bit of a gamble... Here's to hoping I don't run into any trouble!

#2: The First Encounters
====================================
New London is a far ways away. This trip may take a while. I've got some money to spend but I am not sure of anywhere near by to purchase the proper weapons for The Amanda. My plan is to find somewhere along the way. While heading through the New York system I stopped off at the West Point Military Academy for a drink and to relax for a couple of hours. While at the bar I began chatting with a Liberty Navy recruit - he was about my age. I told him about my journey I was embarking and the things I needed. To make a long story short, he told me that I should be able to find some good weapons at California Minor. After checking my map I realized that California Minor happened to be right along my route to New London. After polishing off the drink I decided to head out.

I entered to New York->California jump gate and, of course, rogues were waiting on the other side. They immediately began attacking me - they don't need a reason to; hell, they don't even need a reason NOT to attack me. With far inferior fire power, admittedly my only option was to flee. I got to the nearest trade lane as quick as I could and rode it out to California Minor. Right near the planet I encountered a very large, light blue ship - very alien in nature. I was unable to identify it quick enough. I have never seen one of these ships before, but always have heard the tales about them from the old pilots. I figured this was a good time for me to get onto California Minor and see if the Navy recruit was right about the weapons being here.

The weapons are in fact here and I have just recently purchased them. I have a good load out and I feel like I would be able to defend myself now. Tomorrow, I continue.

#3: Tougher than I thought...
====================================
Turns out I may have received some bad information as to the product I wanted to obtain on New London. After some more asking around I was finally pointed in the right direction. I was headed to Dublin.

Turns out this endeavor is going to be a bit tougher than I had expected. I thought The Amanda would be able to stand up to the riff raff out here - this may not be the case. Molly's are floating all around Bretonia and they are more than annoying to me. They are firing on sight - apparently they are not too friendly of a simple Freelancer passing through. They are everywhere I go - at the end of trade lanes, on the other side of jump gates, and even when I'm undocking from friendly stations and planets. I don't know what makes these guys tick but whatever it is...

Regardless, I've obtained my product and I'm on my way to New Tokyo. I can only imagine what is in store for me. I definitely need to devise a plan in order to survive in this business. The Amanda may not hold up very long for me. I'm going through shield batteries and nanobots like crazy. I need to focus on finding a new ship to purchase soon. I'll need a ship with better armor and heavier fire power. In the meantime, I'm hoping The Amanda will make it to New Tokyo relatively unscathed.
