zombie apocalypse and disco - abysswolf - 10-03-2012 i was found myself wanting a ZAPOC to happen so so so so badly (yeah im THAT selfish and all) and i wondered how that would affect disco? i mean internet will surprisingly not be the LAST thing to fall in fact there will be like 2 days of internet in the worst cases during the catastrophe (yes i read a lot of that shit im even whriting a book about it). so i wonder what would happen in the comunity when the first videos of waves of zombie attacks and goverment denial flood the web.. plus, more interesting what would happen IN GAME, what would be the measures to take by the dev/admin team ? answer all of that here *polemy intented* RE: zombie apocalypse and disco - Marburg - 10-03-2012 I seriously doubt that the staff would take any measures whatsoever in game in the event of a zombpocalypse. Seriously, I mean really. If the dead were shambling around eating people & making more zombies, I think the closest thing to an official stance any of them would hold would be something like: "Who the eff cares about the server when there be zombies about? Run for your lives you fools!!" RE: zombie apocalypse and disco - Aingar - 10-03-2012 A. Pull the plug. B. Do nothing. RE: zombie apocalypse and disco - abysswolf - 10-03-2012 this is what I would do, I would burn the server files on dvd's while energy is still on and then guard them with my life also id burn a copy of the client and the forum files it would be like 4 or 5 dvd's of info something easly carry-able why? I bet much of you guys will search for disco when the internet's back on... to see who survived and shit... RE: zombie apocalypse and disco - Corsair - 10-03-2012 I think people would be a bit preoccupied with not dying, rather than running just one more load of He-3. RE: zombie apocalypse and disco - Marburg - 10-03-2012 You haven't really thought through some of the most basic logistical realities in the event of societal collapse have ya? RE: zombie apocalypse and disco - AeternusDoleo - 10-03-2012 My internet connection would not top my requirements list in case of catastrophes... RE: zombie apocalypse and disco - abysswolf - 10-03-2012 i have mentioned that im whriting a book about it? YES I HAVE BEEN carrying your own weight and a little more having basic knoledge of gun handling realize that the old/sick and weak members of your family WILL DIE realize that you will probably never see any more most of your friends that live more of 1 km away from you realize that a ZAPOC is an extintion level catastrophe, you have low chances of survival specially in the first days and soooo on... but conserving this kind of files serves a purpose, have you seen waterworld? and how valuable was a chunk of living wood? or a tiny piece of readable paper? same apply RE: zombie apocalypse and disco - Prysin - 10-04-2012 actually, in the event of ZAPOC, BHG|Core would gather in the streets with their DIY Seaserpents and start pewpewing zombies all over the place... true story, we have plans for such occasions RE: zombie apocalypse and disco - ophidian - 10-04-2012 Find a big ship, go open seas, learn to love eating fish all the time. Disco care in an "any kinda" apocalypse situation? -> below lololol level. |
