Interspace Commerce; Jump Access - The Kingdom of Bretonia - 10-23-2012

To Interspace Commerce,
Permission for limited access to Bretonian space has been granted for one Zoner Carrier. The following conditions of this access are:

-Access for the Zoner Carrier "The.Peacemaker" is granted into the system of Dublin.
-This ship should not leave the area surronding Essex further then 20k.
-When jumping into Bretonia you will notify any BPA/BAF active in Bretonia.
-An import log of your cargo for each jump should be recorded and reported to the BPA.
-A required amount of support will be given to the BPA as deemed necessary by the BPA.

Violation of of any of these conditions may result in the termination of access.

Good evening to you all,

Inspector Thomas Page here, after a matter of confusion regarding the above agreement. The.Peacemaker has kept within the law as far as I have heard, but recently Interspace's barges have changed to a more Libertonian asset. Jumpin' Jack as it has been named, is fully jump capable. However, from what I have been told it was not registered prior to the past two encounters, and doesn't look like primary fleet to me. Letting them leave through hyperspace this time, I would hope for some clarification before a third strike is added (for this particular ship, not including the previous 'misunderstandings').

Good day,
  • I firstly must apologize to you all for my self invitation to
    this communique, as I feel that this directly involves my-
    self and other important people within the parent company
    that Interspace Commerce is now owned by, Doe Industries.

    My name is John Doe, and I will represent both Interspace
    Commerce and Deep Space Engineering in this agreement
    from here on in if all parties are accepting of this.

    The images you have provided in your prior report shows
    what DSE) have proudly come to call 'Jack'. It is a test bed
    for all equipment DSE) creates and is used to assist in
    logistical solutions for our barge platforms.

    I must profusely apologize in what appears to be a commun-
    cation malfunction, as I personally take responsibility for the
    authorization of Jack to jump in and out of Leeds under the
    assumption we were cleared by the Bretonian and Libertonian
    military co-operation manoeuvres against the Gallic invasion
    fleets. Deep Space Engineering, along with Interspace
    Commerce bring in materials in our logistics convoys to the
    House of Bretonia, while we export some of your goods to
    help the production of other equipment used by our Navy to
    further the technological advances of both our Houses war
    efforts.

    As I am now aware, this 'incursion' has been deemed illegal
    and as the sole man taking responsibility for this, I request
    that any punitive measures be considered with the fact that
    Deep Space Engineering and Interspace Commerce are one
    of the life lines that encourage the financial and inter-House
    commercial networks unsurpassed by any other corporation.

I had not heard of your acquisition of Interspace, I've not kept in the loop of such matters since before I graduated. How things have changed...

The removal of restrictions between our nations' militaries only applies to primary fleet vessels or those actively fighting in Leeds with the Navy Admiralty's previous permission. If you wish to request an exception for 'Jack', or change the agreement concerning The.Peacemaker, Fleet Admiral Piett will be able to see this channel.

This time there is less blame resting with yourself and Interspace - simply being a miscommunication instead of contempt on their part. I do not believe any punishment is in order, but I would advise you to keep Jack out of Bretonia until told otherwise.

Due to Mr. Doe's absence I will request that the "Jumpin'Jack"-137LN45 have permission to jump into both Leeds, Stokes Mining Facility and New London, Southampton Shipyard. If Jack cannot be used as we require, then commerce and the technological advances DSE produces will slow to a crawl, so it would be in the best interest of both Liberty and Bretonia to allow DSE) and IC| to continue their work.

I, Liasons Secretary Hayley Winchester, under the authority of Her Royal and Imperial Majesty Queen Carina I, by the Grace of her Forebears, Sovereign of the Realm of Greater Bretonia, Empress of Tau, of the Kingdom of the Near Omegas and of her other Realms and Territories, Royal Protector of the Independent Worlds of Magellan and Cortez, Defender of Justice, Head of the Order of the Bretonian Empire - will be passing on the view and decisions of Her Majesty's Admiralty and Government.

Interspace Commerce have proven over several incidents and reports that they are under the impression they are able to do as they please in Bretonia, and that it is better to beg forgiveness instead of asking permission. They are to be informed that this is not the case, and of the consequences attached to their actions.

- The original agreement giving jump permissions to The.Peacemaker is revoked.
- A fine of 250 million credits is to be paid to QCG|HMS-Victory or in the case of any errors, BPA)Schiehallion[CCD] to be re-directed to our treasury.
- Barge vessels registered to IC| will not be allowed to jump into Bretonia for an indefinite period of time.
- All Restricted Goods licences applying to IC| are cancelled and will not be available for renewal within 30 days. Traffic headed to the Taus will be taxed or re-directed through Liberty; those carrying military goods will be ordered to drop their goods at the nearest Bretonian base, or to be handed to a nearby lawful Bretonian.

Deep Space Engineering faces lesser consequences, simply that of a strike against their name and a 2 million fine for one registered count of bringing an unauthorised capital class vessel into the Kingdom of Bretonia.

A similar agreement will be put in place for 'JumpinJack':
-Access for the Liberty Dreadnought "Jumpin'Jack"-137LN45 is granted into the systems of Leeds - in the vicinity of Stokes Smelter - and New London - in the vicinity of Southampton Shipyard - or to transit through other systems under Bretonian escort.
-When jumping into Bretonia you will notify any BPA/BAF active in Bretonia.
-An import log of your cargo for each jump should be recorded and reported to the BPA.

Doe Industries and its subsidiary companies may work together in future endeavours, but the above instructions must be followed at all times or further consequences will come about.

We have made some mistakes, I realize that, and I have made sure that the rest of the Interspace Commerce knows it. We do have some fears though because of the consequences you have laid out for us, mainly being revoking authorization for the Barges to be jumped into Bretonia space. We fear that the lowered amount of He-3 for your shipyards may start to have negative repercussions of the Bretonian Empire and the war against Gallia. This is something we do not wish to see. I personally am keeping an extra careful watch on the rest of the Interspace Commerce, and I can assure you that these mistakes will never happen again under any circumstances.

I do hope that you will allow us to continue helping supply your forces and planets to the best of our abilities.

The Board of Directors will be monitoring any of the activity we have with Bretonia, and see that this will not happen again.
