Ripper_78 was born on Planet Los Angeles in 798 AS, where his parents hoped that he would someday become a future trader, ensuring that he delivered goods and helped the people. James also loved to play with his younger siblings, David and Emily during his childhood.
But James had other ideas. He hoped to become a mercenary someday, where he would combat all sorts of people and learn from his mistakes. James was very persistent to achieve his goal, as he worked in the Liberty Navy during his early 20s as a fighter pilot, hoping to get his skill needed for the life of a mercenary.
But when the Liberty and Rheinland war broke out, James decided he had enough training. The Navy thanked him for his service, and gave him 250000 credits to get a new ship.
Of course, James bought himself a Stiletto, which was the only ship he found interesting in the price range.
Later, James's parents died from an Outcast fighter crashing into their apartment after being shot down in orbit around Los Angeles. James didn't find out about his parents' death until 2 years later.
At that time, James was already working for many people, using a new Wraith borrowed from a friend in Rheinland, slowly accumulating money to buy the ship he really wanted- an Eagle. When James found out about his parents' death, he was enraged, and worked as a Liberty Navy pilot again for 3 months, avenging his parents' death.
However, James mysteriously disappeared in Rheinland on a mission against Red Hessians. He was listed as missing for 2 months. One day, James was found on Dortmund Station, fine and unharmed. James said he was on a deep space expedition in the Omicrons, which relieved many people that knew of his family's great power.[/b]
James finally got enough money to buy an Eagle, and he outfitted it with military-grade tech, and that is where he is to this day.
James later on decided to get a Spatial, and that is where the road ended as of 819 AS. It is unknown whether he will get a new ship later on.
In 820 AS Jonathan Hayes died of a heart attack, forcing David, the second youngest sibling, to take over along with their only sister, Emily.

It should also be noted that Jonathan Hayes (James's real name), had a sister. Her name was Emily. Emily is 24 years old, but has been flying a ship since she was 19.
Jonathan showed true love for his sister, looking after her until his death in 820 AS, when he was 29, due to improper infestation by a Nomad. The rest of the battle that happened is history.
David Hayes took over command of the Ripper_78 along with Emily. They have faced Nomads, battled capital warships, and destroyed alien gunboats. But what was really strange was that Emily felt uncomfortable one day in 820 AS, and left. She came back happy enough, however.
Emily is currently exploring and fighting in dangerous Edge Worlds, and shows lots of love for the family's puppy, Spotty.
