Jane Hartman's Feedback/Storage Thread - Melanie Tyler - 11-06-2012 ----------Feedback-----------
So, how'd it go? Did I get caught up in a cliche-storm, or shoot you/get shot by you, or just sail straight on past? Feel free to leave any feedback for stories or characters I've written or participated in here. That, and it's a handy place to keep track of all the stories. Because we're all here to become better people. No, really. A trained team of spider-monkeys is waiting to take your calls. Commander Jane Hartman, [Liberty Navy]
Formerly Private First Class Jane Hartman of the Liberty Marine Corps, Jane is the sort of person who lives (and fully expects to die) in her uniform. That moment very nearly came when a smuggler detonated incendiaries on-board a transport her team was inspecting. Hartman suffered significant burns to most of her face and, though surgery has reduced the scars to a few facial marks, it was enough to force her resignation from the Corps. Unquestioning of her orders and unflinching in their execution, Hartman's dedication to the Liberty Navy extends almost to the point of fanaticism. However; her true loyalties lie first with the men and women she serves with and with the organisation that created them second.
Commander Melanie Tyler, [Liberty Navy Secondary Fleet]
Young and flippant for a Commander, Tyler was originally an atmospheric pilot attached to the Liberty Air Force on Planet Houston. Operating under the callsign 'Harpy,' (earnt for the revenge she inflicted upon another Officer candidate for a less-than-ideal break-up) Melanie enlisted purely for the 'free' flight training, intending to do her time and leave for the civilian world. That changed with the mobilization of the Air Force to assist the Bretonian Forces in Leeds. A Junior Officer sent with the task force, like so many others, Tyler was forced into command when an attack on the Chief of the Air Force's transport vanished, along with most of senior command. In the days that followed, Tyler played a key role in re-establishing the Air Force's relationship with Bretonian forces, although the task force was too far gone to re-assemble. Task Force Sierra of the Liberty Air Force's Space Division was dissolved in early 819A.S, and Tyler returned to Liberty. Like many other Officers, she chose to accept a transfer package to the Navy rather then return to surface duty, and was appointed the Commanding Officer of the Battlecruiser Furious in recognition of her role in Bretonia. She views the failure of the Air Force in Bretonia as her fault, and plans to return there to rejoin the fight against the Gallics.

RE: Jane Hartman's Feedback/Storage Thread - SummerMcLovin - 11-06-2012 I've found your stories interesting, and enjoyed flying with you in space whether it's the Ravenswood or your LAF Guardian. Of course, Thomas is waiting for you to get back to Bretonia with the Libertonian cavalry RE: Jane Hartman's Feedback/Storage Thread - Melanie Tyler - 11-10-2012 Thanks! It's always great fun flying around with Tom. As to that cavalry, I'm certain Melanie'll be looking forward to bringing it. RE: Jane Hartman's Feedback/Storage Thread - Melanie Tyler - 03-28-2013 Updated with the latest stories. With any luck, they'll be more coming over the next few weeks. |
