The series is good, but the episodes are too short....at last 15-20 min for each one will be better.

It's the chopped up two hour premiere episode is the way I understand it - they're putting them online now, and when it shows up as a new show on SyFy next year, all us BSG geeks will have already seen it and be ready for it. And it's a hell of a lot better than Caprica...
