Born Mayte Ramirez to Carlitos and Pia Ramirez on planet Malta sometime in 790 AS. At 2 months old, the subject was diagnosed with "Rodrigo Syndrome", an extremely rare condition that significantly reduces the subject's cardimine withdrawal symptoms, the subject can go years without a cardimine dose, only suffering mild headaches.
At 13 years old, the subject was noted by the family doctor to show above average reflex speed in both body and mind, cause unknown. Subject was then transfered out of his school and into the Malta Military Academy at his parent's wishes.
At age 20, subject graduated from Malta Military Academy with high dinstinctions in Camouflage and Concealment, Advanced Marksmanship, and Ground Tactics.
Subject was then invited to apply for the Outcast Special Forces exam, he accepted the invitation and passed with a score of 92/100.

EARLY MILITARY HISTORY
Subject was then put through the harsh training regime of the Outcast Special Forces on planet Malta, nothing is known about his life during training, though it is suspected that he was exceptionally good at Concealment and Tactics as he was accepted into the 8th Outcast Special Ground Forces Regiment ("The Black Swordsmen") soon after he finished training, having only just turned 21 at the time.
Not much is known during his first year in the Black Swordsmen, except that he was first on active duty in a small raid against Corsair forces searching for Artifacts on a small planetoid in Eta, where it is suspected that he gained the distinctive scars across his torso, and the one below his left eye (although these could have been recived from the Black Swordsmen's "playful" habit of dueling each other to first blood with thier ceremonial weapon, the Cutlass).

Mayte "Slazher" Ramirez was killed by the orbital bombardment of Planetoid RE-023 in Omicron Omega, shortly before the jumpholes into the system collapsed.
Mayte Ramirez was attatched to Beta squad, who were fighting against a small Corsair Black Ops team for the control of Attack Zone Theta when the Corsairs Research Expedition fleet decided to abandon the Darknova anomaly and just destroy the planetoid.
While not in the epicenter of any of the Supernova X-12 Warhead's blast zones, Beta squad was just inside the shockwave area of one of the X-12's, and as none of Beta squad was listed on the evacuated lists, they are presumed to have all died in the attack.
