How can I have more fun here? New characters? - kikatsu - 12-02-2012
Well mainly because I have been rather uninterested in the game as of late, I would log in, fly for a bit and loose interest. I have a bunch of characters and only a few still really hold interest for me, those being my Rogues, BHG, Bowex, and Junker. However I feel like I want to try something new, but I have pretty much done every role possible on the server throughout my long time here and I do not know what is left for me to try out as something new.
Do you guys have any ideas for roles or ships or characters I should try out? I just feel like there is something I am missing, something new and interesting I can do.

Make a character, but have it be out of the norm. For example, a Zoner that spends most of their time in house space, a GMG that hangs out in Liberty, a Rogue that doesn't like violence, etc
That's how I've stayed around this long
EDIT: Different ship/gun combos based on RP or backstory also help spruce things up

It happens and eventually we all lose interest. Just take a break and come back once you have a nice idea sparked up in your brain.

I'd suggest you to try an Outcast with that you can have fun either in the Taus with IMG, GRN, CR - or in the Sigmas with GMG, Corsairs, Kusarians - or in the Omicrons with Order, Corsairs, BHG. There's so much potential.
However, once .87 will be released, you'll find something new that suits you I guess.

Make a space archaeologist...or an academic. It's fun floating around, gathering artifacts, chatting to NPCs players, trying to legalise artifact trade and much, much more.

Try a smuggler that does the rough routes. Or, be a freelancer. Seriously. Mount up in an awkward ship (Spatial comes to mind) and hump it through some rough places. Make friends. Roleplay.
Or, purposefully violate places where players get 10/10 mad at you for going. Lead them around on a merry chase. Escape!
Though smuggler is my vote. Especially if you wanted to be a part of a travelling casino cruise ship for smugglers that was 'inherited' by a couple of lowlifes.
Or just saddle up in a not too often played faction. LPI, Rheinland cops, Kusari cops, bretonia cops. Cops get little to no love and lightfighters are where its at.

I had a lot of fun starting a new "dead is dead, closed economy char" maybe you could try that.
