why do some links change colour and others dont - Hidamari - 12-05-2012

its reaaaaaaaly confusing sometimes, and annoying. :S why dont all the links just turn turquoise when highlighted, instead of this one not doing it and that one deciding to do it and then the next one not doing it.

also the font color inside the drop downs up there ^ is white on fine sky blue making it almost impossible to read.

then when you click the drop down

its even harder to read :S

also the text on the Edit Post dropdown is white text on a white background. Quick edit or Full edit show in white.

can these colours be edited?

Yes, they can be edited.

As for your question in the thread title; I mentioned it earlier in a post in the other thread (<- link) - the link colour in the current theme is only a single colour (white) for links which you aren't hovering your mouse over. This applies to almost every link that isn't in the header or the search/index pages of the forum (Those are set separately, if I remember correctly - I'm unable to check that again on the computer I'm currently on), which just doesn't work in a lot of places, such as in the font selection/size drop-down menus.

The color style for the editor is stored separately from the forum theme, but text color is not, so it popped back to the default layout when Cannon did skin things again, but uses the default text color for the forum. I'll see if i can reinstate the modified one for the last dark skin when I have a minute. That'll work as a temp fix until I can retweak it to fit with the present theme color.
