So..when I fight people I RP before I actually get down to the fighting..Why is it this always seems to be the case when I run onto a fellow cap ship in battle...there is almost never any RP..I ran into a pirate He just appeared in front of me and started shooting relentlessly and I tried to get away but couldn't then e tells me I should have begged for my life..I didn't have time he was unleashing the full fury on me..

People that come within distance RPing before hand I respect and when they kick my tail I congratulate them..

People that just attack you however when your back is turned...to me..just PVP whores wanting a death screen..

Even in the case of KoS I will RP while I am looking for them.

No one usually ever agrees with me on my complaints..I am just venting cause that is frustrating and yeah I drive a BH Gunship but I don't use cap armor to maybe make it a bit more fair...

Most players out there are, unfortunately, looking for pvp whorage more than RP, moreso if they're flying capships and arent part of an official faction. It makes the few good indies out there look bad =(

I cant say I make for a lot of chit-chat in pvp situations either, but I always say SOMETHING on the matter before opening fire.

Usually it's something along the lines of "XXX, this is order space, state your intentions or be fired upon."

if they dont hastily respond, are clearly not allies of the order, or are smugglers that dont stop when I mention their names, they get shot out of the sky. We're starting to take a zero-tolerance stance in minor/100 lately because of all the OORP players we get through there trying to power trade, smuggle, or just cause trouble.

Earlier today I even had a police tagged, Navy ID'd pilot come into omicron minor, state he was there 'just passing through', and then docked on battleship isis right in front of me. The only reason I didnt file a report against him is because he said he was new to the server (he was rather low level), and once I mentioned that he had just broken several rules he seemed sincerely sorry about it and said it wouldnt happen again. He got off easy too... I just put a couple missile turrets on this thing...

If I was a pirate I would RP it. Like Die BH Scum or something like that.
But I'm in my Liberty Battlecruiser and if I have time I will in comms say enemy located. terminate or something like like that. Usually for me there isnt much time to do it since If I see a pirate I need to immedately pursue as they tend to run at the sight of me.

Also yeh sometimes it's self explanatory when someone attacks another without warning. eg. Xenos, Nomads and pirates who have already engaged others. Just a different kind of RP.

Yes I usually say something like "Closing in on target" or "Targetting *Random Name here* " and once the first shot rings I don't say anything unless there is a break in combat. I just hate it when you try to RP and the person is so over anxious they open fire at the first sign of you.

Hell, during the order/keeper battle a while back I even took the time to type "We're going down, all hands abandon ship!" when the two keeper bombers were blasting the crap out of me and I knew I didnt stand a chance.

As a pirate I'm losing money constantly because I like to write bantering comms. Of course most of the people take advantage of this and slip away.

I'm not the first to open fire really in any circumstances and only resort to fighting A) I'm pretty sure I have chances against the guy B) He's attacking C) A trader is not paying after a very long conversation, which is extremely rare since if the guy stops he has already decided to wait and see what happens. And unless you make ludicruous demands he's paying up nicely.

But I'm willing to RP as long as the other guy is not running or attacking. I like long stand-offs in "The good, the Bad and the Ugly" style.

I've noticed this too, I usually don't shoot players at all... I know how it feels to get shot down when you have valuable cargo, maybe Im not made right for being Corsairs...
But Im flying a Cruiser, That makes me able to threat people away, like:

You better leave or your ship will be venting air soon!

That is a RPish threat =)
