Dear President Abelard,
as we both, us and you, our precious guests, didn't find the time to coordinate foreign and alliance politics, the High Council of the IMG came to the belief that we can't continue to rely on spontaneous and short-dated meetings of low-ranked mediators and ordered me to negotiate a conference between you or at least your highest, empowered representant(s) and our foreign minister, who would be me in this case.
After all that time, that passed, we have several issues to discuss. The main subject of course, will be the rather uncomfortable situation of the IMG in Bretonia, created by the war with the Union of God and the Queens radical change of political alignment towards the said group. To give you a short list to ease preparation:
- Eventual Tensions between Bretonian authorities and the IMG
- Alliance Issues: Defense against Outcast Criminals and alignment towards GMG
- The war with the Union of God
- The "Freeport" 4 situation
- The Bretonia-Kusari war
- Brief discussion about alignments towards Corsairs.
We are not quite fixed regarding the date of the conference. For the location however, I personally never visited the Bio-Domes of Minato Harbor, for which Tau-44 is famous for! I would really love to have a walk with you on this flourishing evidence of your successful and prospering settlement in Sirius!

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Michael Gideon, personal adviser to President Abelard. You must forgive the president for not replying personally...you see he is recently married and currently on his honeymoon at a secret location. In his stead I will do the best I can.
You are indeed correct, it has been far too long since we have spoken to the Guild formally. By our records it has been two years in fact. Two years ago it was Abelard himself who approached your predecessor with a proposal for a joint exploration project in the Tau systems, one that would eventually yield the system of Tau-44. It was a triumph of cooperation, one that gave the Independent Miners new resource opportunities and us a home.
It is not lost on us the risk the Guild took in aiding us. As we were fugitives from the Crown, fleeing a web of deceit and injustice, the Independent Mining Guild risked the lives of those miners still operating in Bretonia to aid us. Now the consequences of our relationship are unfolding in Bretonia, where innocent IMG ships are being harassed by her Majesty's forces out of spite for aiding us.
