gah, i ran into some bugs. I tried to add a new account from a file and it gave me this error:

7/3/2008 - 10:30:14 PM [70]: Permission denied
ClsBD.importar

Then, after I closed the error window, it let me add the new account. But, somehow in the process it deleted all my other accounts. I have them all backed up thankfully, but now FAM absolutely refuses to let me add them and gives me these errors:

7/3/2008 - 10:30:38 PM [70]: Permission denied
ClsBD.importar
7/3/2008 - 10:39:41 PM [70]: Permission denied
ClsBD.importar
7/3/2008 - 10:39:57 PM [70]: Permission denied
ClsBD.importar

I'm trying a clean install of FAM now to see if that helps.

Edit: Reinstalled FAM and now it works like a charm.

Hah, it's one nifty Tool... I only have 5 icons on my desktop... One of wich is the FL Accound Manager...

The Freelancer Account Manager - Xqt10ner - 07-08-2008

I have a slight problem, FAM scanned and found my account without any problem. But when I try to launch freelancer from the "Launch Freelancer" button, I get the following error message - "\EXE\Freelancer.exe" not found. I assume this is because I have Freelancer installed on my D:\ drive. Is there any way I can browse with FAM to the Freelancer exe?

The Freelancer Account Manager - Korrd - 07-08-2008

The FAM determines where FL is installed by reading a registry key on the windows registry.
The key can be found at:
HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Microsoft games/Freelancer/1.0, and its called AppPath
It should point to your freelancer installation directory. If it does not, then your installation might not have completed successfully. Change it to your current FL location if it isn't pointing to it.

That happened because you didn't have write access to the dir where fam was installed. remember that the program *must* be run as an administrator. Otherwise, it won't work.

*pokes head in* Seeing as someone else posted before me, I'll just say this is an awesome tool!

Also, the website mentioned a FLAM 2.0, is that going to happen, or is it on hold to the forseeable future?

How many accounts are allowed in FAM?
