Oy, Jack.
Been a while... How's it going?
I swear... I close my eyes for a second, and six months passed... I find myself on the other side of Sirius, connected to dozens of cables... totally naked with creepy looking men and women in white dresses all around me... pointing their needles towards me.
Such a scary place it was... Gave the battle of my life there...
I am in Gran Canaria, will be passing by your battleship on my way to Taus... wondering what happened back in home.

It has been a while and I have to admit that I did not expect to ever hear of you again. Word spread around the Taus that you were KIA. I am happy to see that after a year you seem not only be alive, but also returning to the war.
You asked what happened since you disappeared. Where to start? Much.
I'll tell you what you need to know:
The Tau situation is bad. Different groups of Outcasts, reinforced by Pirates and also Aliens have been putting us under quite some pressure. We have found ourselves pushed back to Java pretty often during the last days and shiploss has become rather normal for patrols.
So, if I am honest: you picked the right time to return. If you want to see me, I am in the Taus for the weekend to see Anna and the baby. I am sure we can manage something.
Good luck and good to see you back!

It's good that you are in the Taus... My intention was to be back as soon as possible from the start; I am already on my way as I am sending this message.
Oh, Anna and the baby, are they alright? My own twins are on the way... Feels terrible that I couldn't be of any help to Kate all this time. She's flying pregnant, right? Flying pregnant and fighting bloodthirsty criminals or something, right?
I can't contact any of the original Vigilantes yet, by the way, but I have a few with me who can be of help...
Looks like there is a lot to sort out with my group. I am gone for just a few months and look at this now... These guys are so useless without me, seriously...

Let's chat about family another time. It's a cumbersome topic. They are alright in a way that is acceptable, but I'll explain to you when we meet. Contact me when on Java.
Kate has been flying. A lot. More escorting than normal, though. I have seen reports with her name, pretty successful ones. I hope everything is fine with your family.
Now, you are here to gather your people again. That's good. What you need is a contract to work in the Taus. As before, the IMG is glad to give the support.
I took the liberty to make a few changes to the old contract and adapted it to the changed Tau reality. As I said, some things changed, but you will recognize the Taus when you see them.
Discuss it with your men. Let me know what you think. If the terms are acceptable, this can be uploaded to the data bases in a few hours already.

The Lost Star Vigilante
The IMG realizes that the Lost Star Vigilante - defined by the .|* transponder signal - are not and will not be a part of the IMG nor take commands from it but act as an independent element in the Taus. As the goals of the Lost Star Vigilante are largely these of the IMG, the Guild wants to show its appreciation by providing support.
1. Tau Security Operations:
The IMG supports the Lost Star's operations in the Taus by empowering the members to enforce the law of the Taus in the following ways:
1.1 Patrol Activity:
The IMG realizes that the Lost Star Vigilante contributes to the security of the Taus. Therefore they are granted the same rights to impose the Tau laws as the IMG and Colonial patrols have.
In addition, Kyushu and the Omicrons surrounding Alpha have been opened as a Zone of Operation.
1.2 Escort / Scout Operations:
If Lost Start members act as scouts or escort for IMG convoys, they are to be paid as the IMG escorts/scouts do.
1.3 Contraband / Anti-Smuggling Operations:
The Vigilante can seize contraband as defined by the Tau/IMG standards. The IMG offers the infrastructure to either destroy Cardamine safely or set Slaves free.
Contraband is defined as:
a) Cardamine
b) Liquid Cardamine
c) Slaves
d) Human Organs
e) Nox
Furthermore, Lost Star can intercept any cargo that is encountered inside Omicron Alpha and destroy trade ships of any affiliation if they do not render their cargo for destruction or free slaves.
1.4 Combat Operations:
The Vigilante can attack all enemies of the Guild, as well as those that are listed on the IMG Bountyboard. Even though Lost Star is not visible on the Bounty Board, your group counts as registered.
Addition: Lost Star operatives can also operate in the Omicrons surrounding Alpha and in Kyushu.
Enemies of the Guild are defined as:
a) Outcast and all that assist them
b) Farmer's Alliance
c) Alien "Nomads" or alien influenced/controlled/supporting entities
d) Contraband Smugglers of any affiliation (additional cargo scan required)
e) Pirates
f) All factions bountied on the IMG bounty board
g) All individuals bountied on the IMG bounty board
h) All vessels that act hostile towards the IMG and which Lost Star engages in support of IMG in accordance with this treaty (additional proof of hostility required)
i) All Freelancer and Mercenaries hired by enemies of the IMG (additional proof of hostility required)
2. Support Grant by the IMG
2.1. Docking Rights: The IMG grants docking rights on the IMG installations in the Taus. For quick staging near the Niobium fields, access to Fort Silos is granted.
2.1.1 Exception: If your ships are hunted by law enforcers, please refrain from docking at IMG installations while they can prove it. Freeport 10 would be an alternative, or disengaging first and heading to a secret base like Falkland would be safer.
2.2 Financial Support: The IMG wants to support the efforts of the Lost Star Vigilante financially. The payment is understood to enable the group to maintain operational efficiency and expand their operations. It is no attempt to influence the actions.
2.2.1 The financial support will be: 100 million Sirian Credits / month
2.2.2 There can be bonuses for exceptional results
2.2.3 Health services are provided without charge at IMG installations
3. Requirements
3.1 Action Reports:
The Guild needs Lost Star to submit action reports to this encrypted channel.
3.2 Combat Reports:
The Guild needs combat reports about engagements that ended with enemies of the Guild neutralized.
3.3 Submission of Data:
The following data has to be provided to the IMG. It will be kept strictly confidential and not shared with any party.
3.3.1: Names of Pilots
3.3.2: Callsigns of all ships
3.4 Secrecy Agreement:
The IMG's involvement in the actions of the Lost Star Vigilante cannot be disclosed. All activities of the Lost Star Vigilante need to be discreet, so that the IMG cannot be linked to their actions.
Good luck and good to see you back! I'll get you up to date when you arrive here.

Scar from Lost Star here, answering on behalf of Fenrir.
Reviewing contract, I find it fitting to our modus operandi. The only matter I want to discuss is no mention of armament. Considering IMG's habit of equipping mercs and freelances with decent and durable equipment and several other tech you produce for civilian market, I assume we are cleared to put your primary arsenal to proper use? Personally I intend to use Vampire emmiters.
Once this matter is cleared out, there is only one question left...
When we can start shooting?

Thank you for your feedback, Mr. Scar.
Of course, the IMG produced ships like Raven's Talon, Lhotse and all other IMG ships as well as weaponry can be aquired on IMG stations and used. IMG armorers have been advised to adjust your software to our hardware. We have made good experience with that. The core should hardly go untapped and should be running at 90 %.
I have added the equipment support into the contract. See attachment below.
Yours sincerely

Longer range... Glorious.
This contract has been officially approved by me as far as anyone can be concerned about it.
If in the future our parties need or require any adjustments on the contract, we can always adjust. It has been that way before, would work for me if it's the same way again.
Lost Star Vigilantes consider the IMG as their own people, and our relationship were not simply 'business'. I will make others remember that, and make sure the new ones learn about it.
Now... let me rest a few days, take care of my twins, and chase after my old fellas; we will be ready as soon as humanly possible. You have my promise.
Oh and... I am at the old HQ. Just give me a call whenever you wanna talk, I am sure we will have a lunch or something together soon enough.

Alright, so we have a deal. The contract is being uploaded to the Bounty Board section while this message is being sent.
I'll catch you on Java, I am sure. I still know the way. Good to see that wing alive again. Good luck with all that needs to be done.
I'll advise the newer IMG pilots on how to work with your boys. Quite a few of our new boys and girls ar pretty green, just being honest. A lot of replacement had to be done due to casualties.
See you around.
Jack
