Hello, The_Dumpster_Dweller here, I recently came across a freelancer flying a stolen Gallic Liner, (they are not for sale to freelancers as far as I know?) and smuggling artifacts from tau 23 to kyushu, thus I believe crossing both your jurisdictions. I attempted to apprehend this miscreant, but he attacked me, and damaged my ship!
I would be grateful for any compensation you could send.

Firstly, I have no idea why you think you would deserve any compensation for trying to stop this alleged smuggler.
Secondly, I suggest you leave law enforcement to the Naval Forces or the State Police. We don't need vigilantes here.
Lastly, I'd like to thank you for directing our attention to this smuggler, but I'd like you also to know that we're well aware of smugglers operating in our space.
Rest assured we hunt them relentlessly and don't need your help with enforcing the law.

1: Because my ship was damaged in getting that evidence, and I had to pay for repairs.
2: I know you are aware there are smugglers, but now you know his name exactly, you can be on the lookout for him instantly, and you already have enough proof to arrest him, even if hes not smuggling at the time you catch him!
