TO: Rheinland Military Command [RM] - Von Richtofen - 01-17-2013

...."your aide hands you a sealed official envelope. The envelope is marked MOST SECRET. Tearing the seal reveals official documents detailing various troop assignments, requests for spares repairs and reinforcements, contact and patrol reports. The last paragraph of one paper catches your eye"............

SUBMITTER: Major Theodor Wilhelm Falk von und zu Sittlingen
RECIPIENT: 107th Sturzkampfgeschwader Command
SUBJECT: Standing Orders

Oberstleutnant von Richthofen,
The Oberkommando has reviewed the status of your Geschwader and came to the following conclusion: For the time being you and your men's primary assignment will be border security in Hamburg, based from Brandenburg Flugplatz. However, due to the nature of the Volksmarine being an auxiliary force not permanently stationed on military installations, the Oberkommando saw fit to put a resolution in effect to increase the Volksmarine's flexibility.

Effective immediately, the following Rheinwehr airbases have been instructed to keep a contingent of 140-ARKM-N58 "Bergelmir" bombers as well as 13-ARKM-N37 "Fafnir" heavy bombers ready for the Volksmarine's use:

Raumhafen Lüttich, Planet Nuremberg
Militärflugplatz Oberschwaben, Planet Stuttgart

Furthermore, the Oberkommando encourages additional recruitment of Rheinland citizens into the Volksmarine to bolster their numbers and to guarantee the fast achievement of fully operational status. Seeing that these recruits will require most of the basic training sessions for the Bergelmir as well as the Fafnir, access to the ASCAT Flugsimulator on Mecklenburg Station has been granted.

Hochachtungsvoll,
Major Theodor Wilhelm Falk von und zu Sittlingen, Rheinwehr Hauptflotte.

....."One of your staff places a printed message transcription on your desk. The message bears the squadron logo of the 107th Geschwader and appears to be a response from their commanding officer to your recent transmission. Your signals staff have already decrypted the message and classified it as 'your eyes only' ".........

To: Major Theodor Wilhelm Falk von und zu Sittlingen
From: Oberstleutnant Victor Von Richthofen. Volksmarine, 107 Geschawader.
Subject: Re: Standing Orders.

Herr Major. I have received, reviewed and understood your recent transmission. Geschwader standing orders and operational procedures have been updated as appropriate and issued to all pilots. I personally must thank you for the hardware and facilities you have made available to us and for the opportunities such generosity will allow.
Rest assured that recruitment of new pilots is of prime concern at present and we expect to be at full combat strength and fully operational by the end of the current month. Training and experience are ever a problem for volksmarine units but what we lack in ability we shall make up for in enthusiasm I assure you. It is difficult to find experienced bomber pilots for our training flights, as the conflict with Liberty has ensured that nearly all combat capable personnel are kept in a state of readiness. We do what we can with what we have.
In the meantime, we shall endeavour to keep the Hamburg border safe and secure. You honour us with the responsibility Herr Major. We shall not repay such honour with failure.

Oberstleutnant Victor Von Richthofen

......"The message ends here. It seems that Von Richthofen holds you in high regard. You decide to keep one eye on the development of his geschwader, they could well be a useful, if not expendable asset in the future".....
