the Three Legs of the Tripod - Chenzo- - 01-18-2013 Vin Chenzo was often one to quickly think of a plan and action it as fast as possible, often without any idea of what the actual outcome would be, only a rough estimate. It took many attempts to construct the base he now operates as a second home, amoung other functions. He had never been at the stage where he was able to fully begin filling it with exactly what he needed, without anyone else knowing about it. The inconceivable stockpile of weaponry, both collected and his own experiments could finally make it's way from the three weapons testing hangers in Corsica. His self-built from nothing empire depends on hauliers to ship his own brand of the Orange Dream. He had become lazy when it came to organising his own freight as he learnt long ago, that's "Drugs sell themselves". The Junkers had proven to be able to be far more efficient than any method he could organise himself. The obvious choise to ask the Junkers for a hand was swiftly dismissed as although he'd fight to the death to help his highly trusted allies, he didn't want to give them any reason to want a piece of him. Chenzo valued his knowledge in weaponry above almost everything else. This left him of a dilemma, he must organise the mass haulage of his lifetimes work and every day supplies to a construction that was more than likely the safest place for it. Without anyone knowing. Previous links with House space had proven fruitful for his ever growing obsession with weaponry and technology, but he never thought he would have any kind of interest with haulage vessels. A specific and very odd set of user needs found themselves at the forefront of Chenzo's creative mind. All vessels he currently had his disposal we're by no means large enough in capacity or the ability to offload themselves. He immediately hit the hanger, looking at owned transports. His initial attemps crude. Trying to to 'strap' ships together to increase possible cargo space. All attempts proved futile as the mish mash of poorly held together ships were not only unserviceable to docking bays but he'd calculated would require large amounts of manpower to operate to any usable degrea. After many days spent awake pondering on what he initially thought would be a quick and simple fix, an idea struck him. Why not simply get someone in the business to sell him ships that came close to his demand criteria and them fine tune them for his uses? Again, the lazy approach yet after a few minutes it hit him like a mortar to the hull of a battleship. Bretonian ships.. He had seen many that we're carrying thousands of units of cargo, massively well armoured and best of all, we're able to load and offload themselves, they only require[figure to be discussed//] pilots to operate them. It was a long shot, but Chenzo previously been granted extraordinary requests from Bretonian officials, perhaps he could negotiate a deal. This proving successful was most extraordinary. Now all he needed was to actually get all three Bretonian transports back to Omicron Alpha. RE: the Three Legs of the Tripod - Chenzo- - 04-30-2013 Chenzo was both impressed and suprised the Bowex companys efficiency in matters that wern't exact;y "by the book". Chenzo wasted no time in organising an interception patrol from the suposidly "abandond" Cape Wrath. The idea was to show the Bowex the same respect they had shown him and remove the vessels as efficiently as they had made thm available. The MNS-Fantasia had recantly been out-fitted with an experimental Jump Drive. The drive had been tested and proven worthy of the task. As an extra precaution, the ship was also fitted out with the latest Cloaking technology. This would ensure that if things were to go wrong, the even more controvercial Bretona Batleship would not be seen. Chenzo assembled a line of his most trustworthy units at his disposal, before jumping with Nomak in control of the heavy lifter, packed with fuel for the return journey. RE: the Three Legs of the Tripod - Chenzo- - 02-09-2023 Chenzo invited two figure heads to Nuevo Amanecer. Teodoro Alonso & Jared Nomak. He’d known Alonso for years, fought side by side with him countless times on Maltese defence, Maltese offensive operations & of course, guarding connected allies in the distribution of the orange dream which was no secret, the back bone of the funds required without which, nothing would ever happen. Jared Nomak was very new on the scene, a year or two at most. Why Chenzo trusted him so much, he did not know. He knew Jared was an exceptional pilot of small to medium sized craft & at this point, his abilities for the task at hand were required & Chenzo had nobody else. He kept his personal endeavours as far away from anyone but those in his personal circle. The whole operations long term success depended far more greatly on the secrecy of the operation as apposed to the initial seemingly impossible logistics infront of them over the next few hours. The [101st]MNS-Fantasia, a ship recently outfitted with a jump drive & cloaking device which had been one of the many vessels under Chenzo’s command for some time now had been selected to complete the operation. Not a Ghost, but Teodoro Alonso was selected by Chenzo to pilot this battleship for the use of its jumping and cloak drives that Alonso himself had recently installed. RE: the Three Legs of the Tripod - Chenzo- - 02-09-2023 The time had come, Chenzo had organised Alonso & Jarek to be available with all the assets in place, tested & confirmed fully operational. Chenzo launched from Nuevo Amanecer at 21:25 to find his amigo’s ready and waiting for him. Without touching any buttons, he activated comms to all crew aboard the Fantasia & to Jarek’s crew in the heavy lifter. Chenzo: “Good evening ladies, gents. This evening we embark on something totally out of the norm. It’s over all success depends entirely on the future than this evening. We are to speak of this to nobody other than those within our own nation, even then, those you would trust your life with”. He allows a few moments to pass before continuing
“captains, you were both waiting for me so let’s initiate the jump sequence” Alonso does so as Chenzo moves to dock his Sabre on the Fantasia, Jarek in the Heavy Lifter enters formation with the Fantasia.
Before he docks, he scans the heavy lifter to ensure it’s got fuel for the return journey. He always checks orders are executed properly, exactly as he asks. Alonso: “Beginning jump sequence, the estimated time to jump, t-minus one minute. Please get strapped in as per prior tests.” They hadn’t jumped more than two systems before. Alonso was confident there was no difference & he had quadrupole checked his survey data for cape wrath multiple times too. Alonso: “3, 2, 1 - hold on tight.” An extreme ringing of the ears ensues followed by nausea. It quickly passes. Chenzo frantically checks scanners for location & all ships intact. Chenzo: “All units report, are we all ok?”
Comms from Jarek come first, there is a delay from Alonso before he confirms all clear. The jump to cape wrath was a resounding success.
[b]Jarek: “All clear, that was weird.” Alonso: Yes, all clear, all systems fine. Had to make sure the whole crew are fine. Chenzo: “Excellent, Jarek, transfer that return fuel to the Fantasia, then form on me. Alonso, wait here and cloak if anyone comes within scanners, I mean anyone”
At the same time, Jarek & Alonso say
“Roger that”Chenzo’s scanners are empty, some debris in the distance can roughly be seen as it was backlit by the sun. The co ordinates given by the Bowex. Jarek was trailing behind in the heavy lifter after offloading the return fuel to the Fantasia. As Chenzo approached the co-ordinates, no ship signals came from the debris. All transponders and internal equipment were lifeless, some light cosmetic damage on the vessels. Chenzo had paid top prices for these, he was slightly upset. Nevertheless, without a spoken word Jarek began moving the three trains one by one to where Alonso & the crew were waiting. He scanned the trade lanes either way which were lifeless. The Bowex were true to their word. Sum 30 minutes later, Jarek had loaded the last of the three trains onto the underside of the Fantasia which had been temporarily adapted to mount these ships. Without a spoken word, Alonso initiated the jump sequence back to Alpha, back to Nuevo Amanecer. Alonso: 3, 2, 1, let’s go home. The same weird sensations came over everyone again, but without the nausea. It seems this ‘feeling’ can be got used to over time.
The initial stages of the mission were a success. Chenzo: “Excellent work everyone, please get some well deserved rest. Apart from you Jarek, can you move the three transports into the mooring fixtures on Nuevo Amanecer please?
A moment passes before Chenzo opens a private line with Alonso.
Chenzo: “Senor, how hard was it to install that equipment to the Fantasia? I’ve been so focused on getting this place sorted, the implications of what else we can use this equipment for has totally alluded me” Alonso: “I was wondering what was up with you, messing about with transports which aren’t even operational. But yes, we can indeed make use of this for offence, defence & pretty much anything you like. They do however require some assistance from the Spirits, who came and gave me various supplies on the Albion Of Light which lead me to being able to make these devices, curious” Chenzo: “Very good senor, please proceed. I’m sure the spirits will provide more” He ends communication with pleasantries toward Alonso before supervising the offload of the Bretonian Shetland Trains into the mooring fixtures on Nuevo Amanecer. RE: the Three Legs of the Tripod - Chenzo- - 02-21-2023 Over the coming months, the station took hold of the Bretonian transports and as Chenzo was undocking one day, he felt a presence of a new form nearby. It was happy as it was returning to the station with required supplies to further expand and develop as well as sustain the base. He checked where the other two Shetlands had been moored, they were gone. Clearly they were still out also gathering supplies. The station had changed too, where once placed was a mooring fixture for the transports was now a specialised bay which was clearly designed to accept and offload the transports. the right hand side of the ship exposed wheras the left side specifically fitted to moor on the station. The task of having to obtain equipment to fix the three trains up had been covered for him by the spirits. This passing of the transport was observed and he could see the transport mooring and offloading cargo with the adapted and repaired equipment along the side of the transport. things were finally falling into place. Chenzo's focus was now able to be re directed to moving his weaponry from Corsica's weapon testing hangers 7 through to 10 where all of his prior weapons research had taken place. He docked back on Nuevo Amanecer to re-inspect his workshops to find his weapons had already been moved, everything laid out neatly and certain things were glowing like the station walls. He didn't understand exactly what was going on, but knew everything would be fine and he needed but to dock whatever ship and things would find their right place. Chenzo went back to the hanger bay and stepped into his Sabre. He launched and went to Malta to tend to his private estate Granja Justa. He was preparing to be away for a long time, but did not know why. |
