We bring you the word from the very edges of space, all the news that matters! Forget your boring colony news service, the borderworlds are where the real action is at. Zoners have long been known as peacekeepers and explorers, and many citizens in the borderworlds use freeports as harbors and safe haven. Recently, however, the environment onboard freeports is becoming violent. Corsairs, Outcasts, Bounty Hunters, and other controversial groups wage war with one another in the bars and corridors of freeports around the borderworlds. Hundreds are killed each day in the ensuing crossfires sparked by faction hatreds, and Zoner efforts to maintain a peaceful and secure atmosphere aboard their stations remain futile. The Borderworlds News Network urges all citizens with plans to visit these freeports: Wear personal armor and always carry a sidearm! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nano-Technology on the rise! Nano-bots have been used by official groups in Sirius for hundreds of years, but new breakthroughs in the field of nano-technology may lead to their use by every human citizen! Scientists and researchers claim that a new generation of nano-bots, when injected into the human bloodstream, can repair and regenerate damaged parts of the body. This medical breakthrough may just lead to the regeneration of lost limbs, cures for all known diseases, and may even be used in the creation of super-soldiers. Nearly every citizen of Sirius has heard rumors about the mythical beings known as phantoms. Some say they feast on the dead, others say they've gone mad on the edges of space, but are they real? Members of the Order, during standard space exploration missions, have discovered signs of phantoms on the very edges of omicron space - and the truth is every bit as gruesome as the rumors you've no doubt heard! The phantoms as we know them are human, but have been horribly mutilated by aliens on the brink of colonized space. These aliens use their human subjects to wage war against us even as we speak! But there's no need to fear, the Order will prevail over the Phantoms as they did in the great Nomad War. Joint construction efforts between the Order, the Corsairs, and the Zoners are finally resulting in the development of several new ships for all three groups. While we were not told how long it would be before these vessels were put into full production, we were told that prototypes were already in the testing phases.
