As you know, the GANK was interested in a contractual arrangement regarding escorts for your trading vessels. However, the Council of Zoners has been characteristically obtuse in their reply.
As you also know, both myself and other GANKs have ties to the GMG by marriage. Our desire to protect our families supercedes Zoner neutrality.
The GANK has now formally de-registered as Zoners. We are in the process of acquiring the appropriate GMG ID and IFF.
Furthermore this decision leads me to propose the following:
ON THE PROPOSAL TO MERGE THE GMG AND GANK
1) Savings:
1a) This agreement shall not invalidate any current agreements between the GMG and other parties.
2) Transitional:
2a) GANK (formally known as the Galactic Adventures of the New Knights) shall be re-designated to a new acronym suitable to the GMG.
<strike>2b) That the sum of 100 million credits be paid to the directors of the GMG as surety.</strike>Paid
2c) Current GANK members shall retain all Zoner ships and equipment.
<strike>2d) Full GMG ID and IFF shall be presented for inspection before this agreement is considered valid.</strike>Complete
3) Establishment:
3a) GANK shall form the Guard Squadron of the GMG under the direction of the GMG and its directors.
3b) All military guard craft piloted by the GMG shall be designated [GANK]. This shall distinguish guard vessels from Kappa Squadron (Escort).
3c) OPERATIONS: The GANK Commander shall have Operational Command over GMG security, including advising the GMG Board, promotion of staff, upholding and enforcing GMG rules of conduct.
3d) COMMISSION: The GANK Commander shall have Field Command over the the GANK Squadron only.
3e) Nomad and other restricted equipment, as required by the GMG and its Directors, may be issued to higher ranked members of GANK at the discretion of the GANK Commander. Due process with respect to diplomacy regarding factional weapons shall be considered.
3f) GANK pilots shall take shifts at the helm of mining operations and trading vessels, from time to time and as required by the GMG and its Directors.
4) Expiry
4a) This agreement is subject to a colling off period of thirty (30) days from the date of acceptance.
<strike>4b) GANK shall present full GMG ID and IFF by this time, else the agreement expires.</strike>Complete
<strike>4c) GMG shall re-designate all current GMG military craft as [GANK] by this time, else the agreement expires.</strike>Redundant
<strike>4d) GANK shall make tribute to the GMG and its Directors to the value of one hundred million (100,000,000) credits, else this agreement expires.</strike>Paid
4e) This agreement may be terminated at any time, subject to the agreement of both parties.
