:::History

Events in the course of time has altered the mentality of the Renegades several times. But never to this extent. This is their Rebirthing...

From their humble beginnings the Renegades never were more than a like minded group of criminals who tried to become something bigger than themselves. Through the guidance of their leader "Rip Rorry" they became a name known to most, though not as influential as they wished. Operating in Rheinland and Kusari space while keeping up good relations along side the Outcasts and Gallic Unlawfuls both on the Corsair and Gallic front, they never were able to match up, size for size, with any of the major house pirating groups.

Together the group shared moments of victory, and moments of defeat. But their days were numbered, for their aspirations were to great and their resources to little. Little by little the men and women that once faithfully followed Rorry dwindled, until very few remained.

The Renegade leader had grown much in maturity, losing his once grand delusions of fame and glory. Under the council of wiser men, his brother Alan and a mysterious mentor known to few as "Syn", Rorry was moved to change the methods of his once personally directed group.

No longer known as "Rorry's Renegades", the group was created anew. Several old faces, some new. They were now a tight knit, special few: "The Renegades"

:::New Foundations

Professional Crime. These two words best define the intentions behind the reorganization of the old "Rorry's Renegades." Looking to excel in the 'art' of crime. Effectiveness and 'Flair' are the fashions in which crime should be committed. The Renegades look for those who possess qualities that will amplify the group's abilities as a whole. The group currently has three dimensions to which hired members find themselves in depending on their skill set (though no member is restricted to only one dimension).

Heistmen

Undoubtedly the most dominant of all dimensions of the Renegades, some Heistmen choose to refrain from using the group tag on their ID avoid attention. Heistmen are, quite simply, the greatest Robbers and Thieves Sirius has to offer. From organizing and executing elaborate heists to larceny of the common trader all Heistmen share two similar attributes: They always do it with style and they always get away.

These men normally keep out of sight until the time to strike the target is at hand. This avoids complications with possible police and military sightings by using the smallest window possible to catch a target. Tools such as Cloaks and Jumps and Docking Modules are used to maximize the abilities of these top tier raiders. Lucky military and police pilots may see them, but they will never catch them. If ever a Heistman does have the unfortunate bad luck to lose his ship in an encounter, he can be sure he will be losing some credits for the next few weeks to buying his colleagues drinks, and if he has repeat losses in succession, he may be losing his membership...

Hitmen

When it comes to combat, none do it better than a Renegade Hitman. A smaller, more mobile division of the Renegades, these hard hitters love to kill and are good at it. Primarily stationed on the Outcast's lower front dealing strikes to Corsair vessels in order to keep strong relations with the Outcast nation, these skilled pilots are the acting muscle to the Renegade's diplomatic relations. Their actions normally look to cripple the enemy of our friends. Demanding all Cargo, Repair Bots, and Amo, and sending the enemy home empty handed or not at all is their job.

Although most Hitmen are focused against the Corsairs, several are deployed to assist the Gallic Unlawfuls in Gallia and the Outcasts in the Tau region. Even fewer spend their time fulling specific job's the Renegades accept for various diplomatic or lucrative reasons.

Even with their wide dispersion, all Hitmen share one attribute: They accept only the damn best combat pilots.

Envoymen

The Envoymen are the non-combatants of the Renegades. Silver tongue diplomats, sometimes getting dirty with their hands to compensate for their lack of space combat, these sly politicians are in charge of the underground and criminal connections of the Renegades. They are the smallest division of the Renegades when looking at numbers, but by far one of the most important in terms of importance.

An Envoyman can spend time gaining operations permission from the local criminal organizations of the House, organizing profitable trades with allies, settling disputes after faction confrontation, fencing acquired goods, and even working advantageous deals with lawful entities.

Señor, honour to all the ones who face the challenge of a new beginning.
Keep the weak excuse of a drugged or facist pirate out of our sight and support the children of Sparta, por favor.

Rheinland is a mucho bueno big hunting ground, aye.
But señor, por favor, respect the privacy of our amigos of the Hogosha, the Farmer's Alliance and
our main business partner within the honourable house of Kusari.
*gets louder*
You are most welcome and hunt down any drugged addicted scum ... *you hear a voice in the background* <Master!> *slap*

*coughs, much softer voice*
But señor, por favor, contact our most honourable hermanos of the Benitez Family for further diplomatic contacts.

RE: The Renegades |R| - Coin - 02-04-2013

if the tag is 'none', how can we tell if the player in question is a [R] or not?
what was the reasoning behind not using tags for part of the group?
which part of the group is exempt from using tags?

"they do it in style and they always get away".... does this mean that if one of your members fails to get away, their character is no longer a member of the renegades? either way, this sentence smacks of powergaming. perhaps modify it to "they always get away - sometimes from the heat of battle, or sometimes from the comfort and security of a prison cell".

RE: The Renegades |R| - Veygaar - 02-04-2013

All your questions are answered within the OP.

RE: The Renegades |R| - Valhalla Sr. - 02-04-2013

Rebuilding the Rorrys Renegades? Nice.

RE: The Renegades |R| - Veygaar - 02-04-2013

No longer "Rorry's"

Just 'The Renegades'

The change is to make a group that no longer exists souly on the altering decisions of one man. Instead it is outlining a style of actions for all members to abide by and adhere to. This makes it easier for members to play without constantly having to look to the "leader" for direction.
