Buenos dias buen señor. My name is Juan Felipe de Alba and Espronceda, and writing this message to inform you of an incident in Leeds a few hours ago. When traveling in the direction of freeport to rest and replenish my ship, I found two pirates raiding a freighter and decided to intervene in support of the assaulted, he managed to reach safety in leeds and the two assailants were focused on my ship, we are not fighters, we are explorers and scientists, so we were at a disadvantage when it appeared the HMS-Manchester, my men shouted for joy, but when he started shooting at us, we could only pray. I've lost good men and women, my ship is in pieces and will require a long repairs and time to return to space. That is why I demand an explanation of the Bretonian military authority and a compensation to the widows of those who were unable to use the escape pods. I am enclosing pictures poorly taken just before severe structural damage. Sincerely, Juan Felipe de Alba and Espornceda Picture 1 HMS Manchester Firing on me and Pirate scan RE: To the Bretonian Armed Forces HQ from Old Magallanes Capitain - Husher - 02-05-2013 >>^Incomming flash message BAF-HQ. >>^Source: BS Suffolk. You demand nothing from the Armed Forces, you request, so calm ye horses. Your message is received and forwarded to the right authority’s. Its unfortunate to hear your ship is severely damaged and you have lost crewmembers in this encounter. But before we speak about compensations i would like to know some things from you. >>^Firstly.... Who are you exactly? Yes i know your name but who do you work for? A photo of your identification papers would be wise. This might seem odd but its necessary. What kind of ship were you flying? For what i can see out of this photo a Zoner cruiser? This is important as foreign Capital ships are NOT allowed in Bretonia without permission from either BAF or BPA. See Bretonain Laws section 4 section 4.6 - Foreign Warships. Also if this turns to be into a goosehunt you can expect i will follow up with Bretonian Law section 6 Articles of War. >>^Secondly.... After speaking with the captain of the HMS-Manchester he says you opened fire on HIM! If that's the case its clearly a act of hostility and he was in right to defend himself. >>^Thirdly...... If you knew they were two? gunboat class pirates and you are one cruiser (Corvo??) which was manned by as i quote Quote:We are not fighters, we are explorers and scientists, so we were at a disadvantage. Why assault two heavily armed pirates in the first place when you knew you were in serious trouble of losing man and woman anyway, why bring them in danger?? To help a fellow trader and risk losing more?? >>^Fourthly....I'll wait for more evidence form both sides to proof who started this dustup. Photos and or voice recordings. I’ve spoken to the captain of the HMS-Manchester and he seems to me like a promising captain but still young. Reserve fleet captains might be a bit more difficult to come to reason as those from the regular fleet. You will hear from BAF-HQ at the earliest convenient time about our judgement.. >>^Signed Commodore Ian Driscoll 5th Fleet. >>^End of message. From Juan Felipe de Alba y Espronceda. Buen señor. First thank you for your quick response, I'm glad to see how well works Bretonian bureaucracy. I'm a zoner of noble family and dedicate myself to explore, discover and photograph everything about sirius. I photographed battles, systems, planets and natural phenomena across the sector. In answer to your first question, I was passing in Bretonian space, from Freeport 6 to Freeport 1 and although I do not consider the "Corvo" a battle ship and my crew and I are not a threat to anyone, i accept your criticism of my presence in leeds system, the law is the law. About the attack on the HMS-Manchester, please, do not insult my intelligence, as I did not insult yours, who can believe that i shoot on my only option for survival?, is ridiculous. But having said that, I have no evidence other than that presented above, the memory storage systems of the ship are too damaged to get more information about it, I deeply regret this. It amazes me wonder why I decided to defend the Bowex freighter, I did it because, for me and my crew, life is the most important, and defend a defenseless merchants deserve my life and that of my subordinates, as they know it I could not see how they were killed and wash my hands, as Pilate did our lord Jesus Christ. To conclude, I wish to seek compensation not exact, because i do not know which is the sum collected by law for such cases. With friendship, Juan Felipe de Alba y Espronceda. The "Virgen Maria" mother of god be with you Lord Driscoll RE: To the Bretonian Armed Forces HQ from Old Magallanes Capitain - Havok - 02-08-2013 G'Day Commodore and Mr. de Alba, The Bretonian Intelligence Service has received this transmission and began skimming over the matter. The BIS will now be conducting an official investigation into this matter and both parties will be contacted for interrogation and evidence collection on the matter. Expect Communications soon.
