This is prbably 99,99% cheating, but:
i started a character and saw a strange thing, battleships crashing into manhattan
so i took advantage...
as they float toward the planet, shoot them once each, this makes it so the loot comes out when they crash
tracktor up the admiral and sell him quick, in a few runs you can get an SCV!
(please don't delete my characters)

dont worry, this isnt cheating. its a glitch on microsoft's part when they made the game, and thus, the cap ship patrol paths are pretty messed up..(or at least thats what i think the situation is..)

It's not that hard to get newb money, guys.....
Just hit up the Cardimine wreck in the Badlands every so often! And there is a good 3 or 4 Cardimine and Artifact wrecks in Bretonia....

AYe to true... Undock and if there are no battleships just take the Lane to Ithaca and loot, selling the stuff that wreck is worth atleast 30K on Manhattan...
Or you can always mine silver...
Though I have found going to Dublin's BMM Station and mining gold is a better way!
