Good code weapons - Taco123 - 02-06-2013 What codes do you chaps think is good out there? Ive been thinking of lauzarite,or maybe evn medusa, but cant seem to find the right ones. HELP? RE: Good code weapons - Eduard - 02-06-2013 Anything which has a good damage / Energy consumption ratio and you can buy pretty cheap from traders. Now, regarding refire rate, it depends what you are used to. I played with 4.0s, 5.0s, 8.33s, as well as 2.0s and I must say that 4.0s and 2.0s were the most convenient for me. What I currently use are Dark Blossoms, they didn't disappoint me and I find them quite good. RE: Good code weapons - Haste - 02-06-2013 Err.. No. The higher the refire rate, the more often the weapon fires. In general, damage output isn't very different. Very low refire weapons offer a substantial punch, usually twice per second, whereas high refire guns spread damage over more projectiles (thus making it more likely that you hit at all). Lower refire leaves you more time to maneuver, as you can fire once, dodge like crazy, early turn, etcetera. It's not very convenient when chasing, however, as it can be hard to hit at all if someone is running and dodging. RE: Good code weapons - monmarfori - 02-06-2013 Mostly their speed is low, like 600 m/s, which makes it inferior to Krakens that have 750 m/s. And their problem is about their refire, they fire slowly and with low speed, you miss alot. So I try better getting a Ragnarok (650 m/s) so its best. Of course try a class 9 that is faster. RE: Good code weapons - Haste - 02-06-2013 There's a few more disadvantages, yeah, but in terms of playstyle, the main difference lies in refire rates. RE: Good code weapons - Taco123 - 02-07-2013 So what do you gentlemen propose for me to get????????/ RE: Good code weapons - JonahC - 02-07-2013 If you like fast refire rate, then Solaris are the best. Pheonix are lower damage but have a good refire rate. Many folks like the Ragnarok, Goldenblade, or Claymore because you can match projectile speed with debilitators. Excaliber have the best damage vs energy consumed. I like Dulzians and Delusions becasue they are SO PRETTY. Really though, depending on what faction you are playing, the faction guns could be a better choice. For instance Liberty Rogue Sammaels are awesome. If you really want to use code weapons though, I would reccomend Ragnaroks, Goldenblades or Claymores, unless you are flying as a corsair titan, then go ahead and opt for the Excalibers, or perhaps even some Archangels. I say this because I really like my projectile speeds to match as this helps with aim. But this is only my opinion, obviously others will tell you theirs. RE: Good code weapons - aerelm - 02-07-2013 A "good" gun is nothing but the matter of your personal taste when it comes to PvP. Really. No one can tell you which guns are "better", and even if they do, they're basically saying which guns work better for them. Nothing beyond that. What I suggest, would be trying out different guns for a while, so you can figure out which works best for your taste. I'm personally not a big fan of codename guns, and the majority of my fighter chars have been running with class 9 guns since I remember. Just for the sake of stickin to the original question though (And since there was a similar discussion to this one on Skype earlier today), here's a list of my personal favorite codes: Quote:[2/6/2013 6:52:54 PM] aerelm: basicallyJust my personal opinion though, and not solely based on performance either, but a mix of looks/performance instead. RE: Good code weapons - Flashâ„¢ - 02-07-2013 IO prefer Medusa, 625ms, 3.03 re fire. Fires good with debs, debs are 650ms, so 25ms woudlnt matter alot. |
