Major Alpha's story - Alpha 429 - 04-29-2006
OOC*ok since some people got a little confused here is the full story of Major Alpha. If I type anything that is contradictive then please PM me and ill change it. End OOC*
Major Jack Alpha was born on Leeds into a working class family. His mother was a home maker and his father was a miner. When he was 11 years old he went to the Royal Military Academy on New London where he studied to become an officer in the BAF. In his fourth year he took part in an inter house student exchange which meant that he spent that year studying at the Rheinland Military Academy on New Berlin. It was there he became friends with a cadet named Kirsty Pryde, the future Chancellor of Rheinland. After that year he returned to New London to complete his studies. However just before his graduation his father was killed in a mining accident, where a mine shaft collapsed killing 20 miners. Shortly after his graduation his mother died of a lung disease. His first post was to a Bretonnian Gunboat called the Inverness, it was under the control of the Bretonnian Secret Sevice. He was the first officer of the ship. The commander was a second cousin of the Queen, but unknown to anyone he was secretly selling the plans to the cargo they carried to the Phantoms. When he was caught it was decided that they royal Family couldnt afford such a scandel to be uncovered so he was taken to a secret location in bretonnia where he still is in a cell. However it was decided that the scapegoat who would get blamed would be the First Officer LT Alpha. He was arrested and as a sentence he was banished from Bretonnia never to return. He had been a very popular person with many friends but after he was accused only 3 believed he was innocent. They were captain Scott Connery, the commander of the BAF destroyer Dundee, Police Constable Thomas Moore, a Leeds police officer and Captain Kirsty Pryde of the Rheinland Cruiser Hannover. He was put on a civilian Armoured Transport bound for Kusari. However after it left he was deemed a security threat because of what he knew. It was decided that the transport had to be destoyed so 2 wings of secret sevice Templers were dispatched to destroy it. During the attack a large bulkhead collapsed and smacked right into his head peircing his skull. An AW operative who had been watching him dragged him into an escape pod and jetisoned it. Both his and the operatives escape pods were tractored in by a pilot of the 282nd Suicide Kings and he was taken to Hammerfest Base in the Nothern Unknown systems. There Aw surgeons discovered that parts of the shattered skull had damaged a part of his brain. They decided that the only way to save him would be to take dormant brain cells from another part of his brain and use them to replace the destroyed ones. To reactivate them the had to send a very small current through his entire brain. The operation was a success but after a psycho analysis had been done on him they discovered some very shocking things the current that had been sent through his brain had unlocked a higher brain power that allowed him to remember things without fail. The other thing was that the dormant brain cells were once active when he was a kid and they were never supposed to be reactivated but now that they had they continued as if they were never dormant meaning that they thought he was still a kid. These brain cells had been used to repair the part of the brain that controlled emotions. it had been discovered that with his emotions he still maturely felt love, compassion, fear and anger. However when he felt happy, excited, jealous or sad then he would do so as an 8 year old child. Which meant when he was happy he would walk around with a big smile that looked stupid on a grown man, when he was excited he would get jumpy and hyper, when he was jealous he would go in a huff with the person and when he was sad he would cry like a baby. When he had recovered he joined the AW. Dab had an idea however. He got him to memorise a complete star chart of Sirius showing all of the Jump Holes as well. He memorised it fully and has never forgotten it. However he has used the tactical knowledge he gained at the Rheinland and Bretonnia Military Academies with the memorised Nav map and has developed an ability to be able to tell the most likely place a vessel was going by calculating all of the possible routes and then looked for the fastest and quickest. It also needed a little concentration. This ability has helped the AW out manouver and flank the larger fleets of the house militaries. At the moment her has attained the rank of major in the AW and is a very competent officer who values loyalty above most other things. However he has a few emotional issues.

OOC* so virus in the case of the chancelor when dab told the major she wasnt going to rheinland he calculated all of the routes through the edge worlds and realised that most passed through delta so logically thats where he went. End OOC*

Ah ha..... I see... So it was more of a correct assumption than a for sure fact. Alright, I'll let it slide. But, remember, ships don't always take the routes you think they will. So if you use this a couple more times, a couple of failures would not go amiss.

Thats ok it says that he has a 95% accuracy so he will tend to screw up once in a while.
