Jump device help - Embercloud - 02-19-2013 Hi! I have some questions about jumpdrives. Is it worth equipping a transport with one? What are the effects of jumping without a survey module? How much fuel do they use? (nvm, found it on the wiki http://discoverygc.com/wiki/Jump_Devices) Are they available for purchase in game? If so, where? RE: Jump device help - Narcotic - 02-19-2013 Though I've never used one, I might answer your questions: For running it you'll need a large powercore like only (heavy) battleships have. So it won't work on transports. (Not sure about the different types of jumpdrives.) When jumping without using jump cords (gained by a survey module), you'll probably do a "random jump" which might get you anywhere. You can only produce/build them on player bases with a jumpdrive construction module. As alternative you could check the Open Market and buy on there (in roleplay). Hope that helped.
