Bonjour Mesdames et Mesieurs,

I am curious about the possibility of purchasing a platform on the surface of Curacao, and I would be glad if you could enlighten me a bit, or point me towards any other source of information related to this subject. Merci.

Greetings Mr. Croix, I am David Crooke, Operations Manager of Orbital Spa & Cruise.

So....you wish to purchase a "platform" on Planet Curacao. Well, you've come to the right place, thing is, we need more information. Namely, what sort of "platform" would you like to purchase and what do you want to do with it?

Mind you, this planet is basically one huge vacation resort. We aren't about to have a mining platform, an industrial park or any form of polluting infrastructure on our wonderful pristine landscape, disrupting the leisure of our clients. And naturally, due to the area being at the borders of two houses, I would prefer if no military infrastructure are placed on this planet.

Anything else and I'll see what I can do.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Bonjour Monsieur Crooke,

Excuse-moi, I just realised, that due to being in a hurry I forgot to introduce myself. Je suis Sergent Henri Croix Du Conseil, leader of Trade and Supply Division of The Council.

Due to our growing relations with the Houses of Liberty and Bretonia, as well as the welcoming market in this part of Sirius, Division Leadership has decided to expand our operations towards these two houses. We have to start somewhere, so for that, the Division requests a platform to base our operations from. And the location of Curacao just fits our needs.

Now, I imagine the ideal platform for us to be on a remote location over the ocean, far from any high traffic. That is to ensure discretion as well as keeping your clients untroubled by our operations. A landing pad capable of holding a ME-UH Mk2 type "Pachyderme"-class Gallic Advanced Train would deem to be useful, however I do not intend to have too much traffic going on around. The platform would rather just serve as a command center of some sorts, where we would maintain our trading operations and inter-corporate diplomacy. For that we will need a building capable of holding an adequate number of offices of various sorts. So far these are the things I can think of right now.

Given this, I can assure you that we have no intentions to conduct mining, industry or anything else deemed to be harmful for the planet or the Orbital Spa & Cruise. Nor we would want to conduct anything related to military operations or manufacturing, with the only exceptions of escort vessels landing on the platform occasionally.

If you have any more questions, I am ready to answer them. And I hope that what I ask is not too much.

Amicalement,

Greetings again Mr. Croix.

So, basically what your organization seeks is a port of call in a distant land. An operations hub if you will.

I personally have no objections whatsoever to selling out a piece of land. However, do note that the area is within the jurisdiction of both Bretonia and Liberty. Far from a trade organization, your people can more or less be considered a small, but fully fledged house. It is best you seek permission from both parties first to construct a base of operations in the area. That way, we can avoid any possible political strife over the construction of your platform.

After you double check with the relevant parties, you can hook up with me again. I should have a piece of land ready for lease by then.

David Crooke signing off.

Bonjour Monsieur Crooke,

Oui, an operation hub on a distant land, but might be better on a distant platform over the seas. I really do not wish our offices to be anywhere near your beaches.

About the other subject, as a regular trader amongst these two houses, and the leader of this division of The Council, I feel the thorough knowledge of local laws is neccessary to know our legal possibilities and restrictions while operating here. Because of this, I demand this knowledge from myself, from my crew, from all traders in the Division.

This knowledge includes the thorough understanding of The Laws of The Republic of Liberty as well as The Laws of The Realm of Bretonia, coming with these two, the Treaty of Curacao. By this I am fully aware that the Cortez system is a joint protectorate of Liberty and Bretonia, and so far I've found nothing in the Treaty against our deal. However, considering the possibility of the subject being a gray area, not covered by the treaty, but may should have been, I share your concern, and has contacted both governments about it.

With this now, I will add the governments of Liberty and Bretonia as spectators (Read-only access) to this channel.

Bonjour Monsieur Crooke,

As you can see on this channel, both governments have approved our plan of deal, so now I clearly see no obstacles in front of us. I would be glad if you could provide a location and a price for the platform.

Greetings again Mr. Croix.

Excellent news! Looks like we have the go green for the entire operation.

We have a piece of land at the Warehouse district on Curacao. The Warehouse district is an isolated location, away from the tourist areas where we house our main storage depot on the Isle of Saint Kitts. We'll provide you a plot of land in the waters off the coast of the Isle of Jane.

Before I lease the land off, you must promise me 2 things however.

1) Absolutely no dumping of waste or excessive pollution of any kind.
Toxic waste can be dumped on special facilities located at Saint Kitts, we'll isolate the waste and remove it later. We don't want to spoil the pristine beauty of Curacao.

2) Large transports are to stay away from the Tourist district and Administration district. Anything above a freighter is a disturbance to our clients and our offices. Flying anything smaller within the area is fine.

I will provide you with a local map of Curacao with the different districts marked out and the area for lease highlighted.

Land price is tied to size of land which you want to rent. Negotiation of prices is open.

Hope to do business with you soon.

David Crooke signing off.

Bonjour Monsieur Crooke,

I can assure you we intend not to harm the environment in any ways, and your alternative to handle waste on the Isle of Saint Kitts sounds favorable. Once we made our deal, one of the first things to do will be to schedule regular waste transportation between our offices and Saint Kitts.

About the large transports, as rare sight as they will be, they will only be seen on the skies of the Warehouse district as they will mostly have business around our offices.

I am looking forward to hearing from you, Monsieur Crooke.

Greetings again Mr. Croix.

We have yet to settle on the size of the area required for the construction of your platform. Perhaps you want to inspect the area yourself?

We can arrange for us to meet on Planet Curacao where we can hammer out the finer details and tour the plot of land set aside for your platform. Does that sound good?

If so, just arrange a time and date and we can meet up.

Bonjour Monsieur Crooke,

Having a look at what I'm going to buy, oui, indeed sounds good.

The nearest date I will be available at will be Sunday this weekend, I hope this will be fine for you, and if so, could you tell me how early do you expect me?
