Status Guard Systems - HRC - 02-22-2013

What is the official status of the Guard Systems? Are they inRP or ooRP?
Is this list still valid?

Generally speaking no - they're more a sandbox for factions to express creativity than things that actually contribute to the storyline. Some groups have handed theirs back to the mod team though, so they can be redesigned along the likes of standard/vanilla systems. Those changes will kick in for :87 though.

Can you please elaborate more on that? Does that mean that whatever RP comes or rather, originates from a guard system, it is not valid? Here's a very basic example: I am located on a base in my guard system and I am transmitting a message to an allied guard system. I hope this clarifies my question.

it's not that the system doesn't exist inRP - it does. It's only that it won't be part of the storyline unless it's handed over to the dev team to do with it as they bid.

You can RP with them if you want, but they're not usually considered a part of the mod's lore.

So if a faction only has a shipyard in their guard system, so far as future storyline decisions goes, that faction has no shipyards.
