Ace of Spades is/was a really fun game, a voxel FPS shooter. It kind of takes the elements of team-based games such as TF2 and combines it with the building aspects of Minecraft.
This game was a lot of fun, till the evil corporation know as Jagex descended onto the game like a Nomad invasion on Sirius. They drove the original developer away from his own game (because he didn't get on with them at all, but by that time it was too late, Jagex had the rights) and even did a bit of bribing propoganda with CocoSmackdown. Generally speaking, they did a really bad job with Ace Of Spades 1.0, though I heard the classic mode isn't too bad (which takes the game back to it's awesome roots).
I advise you play the one on Buildandshoot.com, because the community of people there are pretty cool unlike the one of aceofspades.com which is filled with Jagex and their pawns; it's an online dictatorship; say something they don't like and you get banned.
So BnS host the good version and has cool people.
