good pirate loadout/ship? - Joleia - 02-27-2013 I'm looking for a change of pace from my usual play style and was wondering if anyone has any advice for a solo pirate layout. I would prefer to stay away from gunboats and play more with HF's and VHF's. any advice would be much appreciated. RE: good pirate loadout/ship? - shad0ws - 02-27-2013 I'm thinking about setting up a spatial with, 4x excaliburs, 2 cannonballs, 3 Adv Debilitators, and a bomber torpedo. You would want to switch the torpedo for a disruptor, also you can mount 2 mines. RE: good pirate loadout/ship? - Pancakes - 02-27-2013 Don't use spatial, it's so big transports will have quite easy time gunning you down. And for piracy with snubs best use either a Bomber or a SHF since some VHFs simply lack the needed firepower to shoot down fleeing transports that head toward a base. Waran could be a good pick for a piracy bomber - big core ensures you'll destroy your targets fast, but you will have a problem dealing with snubs. You could also use freighters, a Bactarian armed with full sammies / belials can be quite deadly and delivers high amounts of damage. RE: good pirate loadout/ship? - monmarfori - 02-28-2013 Better to use bombers, try an Eclipse (Though you may ooRPly get it), if for pure RP, use a Roc. Always mount a SNAC and EMPs to soften transports to death. Or if you dislike snubs get a Gunboat. Preferably an Asco. Its very important to use a CD, plus as Pancakes said, Spatial sucks in piracy.
