Where to start.

I am Marisela Florez Montagna , the daughter of one of the oldest familia on Malta ours was a proud and strong familia. We had many acres of fields raising the highest quality Cardamine plants and many slaves tending those fields. I grew up in another time it seems one where honor and loyalty meant more than money. All that changed though when the syndicate showed up and started trying to take control of all Cardamine production on Malta. Those they could not buy out met with "accidents" or just disapeared. Mind you nothing has ever been proven or linked to the syndicate but there are reasons my Papa nicknamed me Sage. He always told me i was wise beyond my years and that whenever i was around life had more flavor to it. I am glad he is not alive to see how far i had fallen.

I came home from school to find the plantation in ruins my familia dead in the fire that destroyed everything. A tragic "accident" caused by carelessness they told me. My Papa it seems dozed off while in a rum induced stupor and his cigarillo started the bed on fire and spread to the rest of the house killing all in it. Now i am all that is left of a once proud Familia and i am left with many questions and few answers. My Papa never NEVER drank rum he couldn't stand the stuff Brandy or a fine wine was all he ever drank.
So where did the rum come from?
Well after finding my Familia gone i did not fall into despair as some might have. I grieved oh yes i grieved but i did not let it rule me and in the end it has made me a stronger person.

I had been taking escort jobs in many systems and other less than "legal" jobs as all outcasts of Malta do from time to time and although i was ranked as an outcast i was not affiliated with any of the outcast factions i liked my independent status it gave me more freedom to choose my jobs.

The 66th and 101st are honorable and true sons and daughters of Malta but a little too militaristic for my tastes. as for the syndicate i would die before becoming a slave to their religion of credits above all else.
Then one day i met the strangest man his callsign is Grimtooth and i have never heard his real name i am not even sure he knows what it is his is an amazing and somewhat unbelievable story but it is his to tell as this is my tale.
After meeting him, talking and much tequila I decided to introduce him to the outcast way of life. If ever a man was an outcast it was him. We made a few runs and took some jobs when one night on Malta we were in a dive listening to radio free Malta and he got the strangest look on his face. I asked him what was wrong and he said memories of another time. He was overheard by a well dressed and suave looking Maltese man who turned and raised his glass and made the toast "to days gone but not forgotten" in which we joined him. Grimtooth invited him to join us and he introduced himself as Picaroon Diablo and then had to convince us that was his given name and not what he was called by others. Well after much rum and tequila we found we had much in common with this man and his son who he called the Unholy one.
So that brings me to the present we have decided to band together with some others we know and trust. Those who have a sense of honor and loyalty like the days of old. We intend to see that control of Malta and her Cardamine is returned to the families and the Dons as it should be. There is a place for syndicates yes and they will make thier money but we will not let them rule us forever.
For Malta for freedom and for honor.

to be continued ...
