Floating district 178 - Arrivals terminal - The Orbitals - 03-09-2013

Arrivals terminal
Floating district 178
New London Orbit

"District 178 is the place where most war refuges from Leeds chose to join the Orbital floating community. Despite it's not one of the most comfortable sites in Bretonia, it has enough amenities to receive waves of newcomers.
A repairbay, a small hospital with basic services and decent number of places were to rest and eat something warm at a cheap price are enoguht to guarantee the fisrt and hard days after a dramatic evacuation or other kind of humble procedences.

For security reasons, every new visitor to this big floating district is registered to the Orbitals neuralnet database, in order to prevent possible infractors, or undesired visitors."

RE: Floating district 178 - Arrivals terminal - Lennox - 03-11-2013

Arrival at district 178. Not as if it wouldn't have lasted that long to find, but the amount of ships in orbit made the docking procedure longer. She remembered why she was here and why she wouldn't take on a place to work somewhere else, like in one of the Big Three of Liberty. This place had reminded her of the time on Rochester, when she was working together with Junkers and independent people. The best thing that could happen to her was to get assigned to one of their larger ships, or even other districts, as they called it. Willing to fully use her potential when it comes to ships themselves, including repair, hard- and software assembly or just the new production of those, the young woman went to the arrival center directly after the ship had landed.

It was a big time when the thought about an actual employment appeared in her head. The more excited everything was for her after having checked in. It took her a while but the data required were sent with a remark on them. Mentioning her dedication towards the duties of a mechanic, the girl would wait on the station until she would know more, the files having been saved under the identification of the name "Christina Ross".

Quote:Contact person data:

Name: Christina Ross
Origin: Liberty
Reason to come to our installations: Seeking for an interesting cause to serve while also earning a living as a mechanic. Heard about it over the transmission a bit ago.
Criminal record: Don't know...probably nothing?
Sky.P3 protocols: Have been transmitted over a safe channel.
Notes: Put me on one of your bigger ships or these districts, please! I know how to repair almost everything or how and where to get spare parts if needed. And I'd make a somewhat above-average crewman. You won't regret it!

Ship data:

Ship type: Onuris class. (just my freelancer ship)
Crew/passangers capacity: Only me.
Amenities: Huh?
Cargo space: Something around 30 units? Didn't measure it yet.
Ship status: Owner
Notes: Rebuilt this ship all by myself!

Personnel data::

Crew: 1
Passengers: 0
Passengers origin status: -
Notes: Only me, yeah.

Greetings pilot.

Your form has been uploaded to [the Orbital neuralnet] satisfactory. No errors nor criminal records were found. Your landing permits are granted.

According to your submitted data seems you're looking for a job as a mechanic. Once you're femiliarized with the District main "streets" I sugest you to head to Hangar 03, where newcomers with mechanical formation are being recruited for different jobs. Good luck!

For your fisrt days here try to visit corridor 22, where most of the nowadays accommodation can be found. If that sector is full then try number 23.

Christina Ross, welcome aboard!

Stuart glares at the transmission transcript and out the window at the pile of ships waiting for access, then mutters to himself:
"They decline people here? Hell, I don't want to stay in space with Colin longer than necessary.. Better hope they let us on board as quickly as possible, maybe they're just a bit slow."
He then starts filling in the form with a troubled look on his face.

Greetings sir Stuart,

Apologies for the delay, we are receiving more visitors than expected this days. Sadly I'm afraid that Gallic troops are increasing the activity in Leeds system.Your form has been uploaded to the Neuralnet and our databse didn't found any error nor issue to report. Your landing permission to our installations is Granted.

Corridor 022 is already full, I sugest you to head directly to corridor number 023 to look for acomodation. Speaking of the job, I must wish you the best of lucks. On the other hand, and acording to your knowledge i think you can find a job here. Hangar 03 is a good starting I guess. If you don't find work then an alternative could be to keep an eye on the negotiations that are being done with ALG, I forward you here the latest news related to such promising meeting.

Oh, one last think. During this first days it's probably you will be busy looking for acomodation, doing some paperwork or looking for a job. If that's the case, we have a small playroom and a school service for your Kid. Try to speak with Mr. Oak, he's in charge of such installations.

Sir Stuart, Colin... *waves to the kid* Welcome aboard!

RE: Floating district 178 - Arrivals terminal - Alvin - 03-27-2013

As the battered refuge liner ever slowly drifts towards the orbital flotilla, Daniel walks up and grunts to his first mate -

“About time we got through with the bloody queue, staying any longer in this filth is going to rot me inside out....
And believe me bro, I seriously do regret taking so many passengers, even if they are offering us some good money. We all be happy if it wasn't for all these damned bureaucratic pigs hiding in their parliament, and too incompetent to actually do anything. Can’t even begin think that I even use to believe in the system once…
Anyway, enough of my rant… go and upload this form hastily to the terminal net before the thought of jettison comes to my mind.”

Cole, Daniel Cole, do you copy me?! The space traffic controller seems very alarmed

Please head to Hangar 01, I repeat, dock at Hanagr 01! The controller is almost eating the micro, the shouts are heard some corridors away You have priority to all other vessels on queue. The emergency protocol have been activated, the medical team is already going to that zone. C'mon, turn on all the docking lights and go on! ...

Once landed, proceed to open both personnel and cargo bays, the medics will need all the possible entrances opened in order to assist quickly to those who are injured. We will do the paperwork later, we don't have time for this right now.

After the protocols have been eneabled, and the spaceship has started the landing sequence, the controller seems more relaxed, leans back and says: Welcome to Distrcit 178 fellew brothers, hope you can get a better life here...

What a day, what a day he thinks

Greetings sir Hamilton,

We have checked your submitted information, the database took some time to download your criminal record. I must admit we were quite scared, normally a sentence saying "Please stand by" when you are checking criminal records ins't a good signal (she smiles). Said that seems it was just a server load issue. your record seems quite clean. Sir Hamilton your landing permission to our installations is Granted.

Beware that our district is quite crowded and you may find problems trying to find accommodation, in any case I wish you the best of lucks.

Thomas, welcome aboard.
