New Discovery server proposition - Scumbag - 03-10-2013 I would like your opinions on a new Freelancer server with Discovery on but with some major changes: - Ship loss on death; - All initial bases and stations destroyable. - Bases would not require commodities in order to function, only the functionality of the shields would require them. - Planets would be the only place where you could get resources and buy ships. - /restart planet name. If there already is something like this please direct me to it. There are some customizations that server ADMIN's can implement but none of those (except /rename planetname) include the ones you mentioned. But for the /rename planetname, this requires a lot of work constructing restarts. Don't get me wrong, it's a good idea, but probably not very workable. People occasionally use that as a server-wide Conn session, and that has base capture mechanics and a credit penalty on death. |
