Encrypted Transmission to IMG| HC from the Xeno Alliance - Evo - 03-12-2013 ![]() Greetin's whoever this fancy transmission reaches. I speak to ya 'cause it's come t'my attention that a lot 'o our movement decides to ignore ya. Maybe its because we used to be miners, maybe they're just lazy. Who tha hell knows. But anyway. What are ya plans in Liberty, an' why should we continue to ignore ya? I see a bunch of ya folks in transports haulin' in all sorts of foreign trash, we don't like dat. ![]() RE: Encrypted Transmission to IMG| HC from the Xeno Alliance - AeternusDoleo - 03-12-2013 **** Incoming Transmission **** From: Johnathan Sanders To: Unknown contact, ID "XA-Pygmy" Subject: IMG stance in Liberty Encryption: High Greetings, Seeing as you do not strike me as someone who cares for formalities, I shall get straight to the point. The Independent Miners Guild has a relatively minor presence in Liberty. We have a minor mining operation in Magellan, just beyond what space Liberty claims as it's own. Most transports bound for Liberty are hauling raw materials - either unrefined or refined minerals or metals, mainly to Pittsburgh and Denver. I'm speaking of such commodities as Niobium, Silver, Beryllium, Cobalt... the raw goods that mainly Ageira needs to keep it's plants running, but do not exist readily within Liberty's own borders. On the outbound, our transports usually pick up goods that those plants produce, for our own use in the deep Taus and Omegas. We maintain two shipyards, so we tend to require such things as Superconductors and Optical Chips for shipbuilding purposes - maintaining a mining fleet tends to chew through resources even without the Outcasts and Corsairs causing trouble. Our only long-term point of interest within Liberty is Planet Hallam in Pennsylvania. DSE has shown no interest in tapping the resources on it's surface, probably due to the harsh conditions planetside. It has been some time ago, but the Xenos were informed and queried on this. I can dig up the transcripts, but as I recall your demand was to have at least 90% of the mining force be Liberty citizens. Something that I can easily agree to, given there are quite a number of displaced Texan citizens with the skills required for mining in an extremely hazardous environment, and our preference to employ locals. Still, those plans have been postponed as the Liberty Government hasn't yet given us an answer, and it would be folly to go ahead with such operations without their approval. The Guild seeks to avoid conflict if it can be prevented. It is my understanding that the Xeno Alliance seeks to better the position of the average Liberty worker. The Guild has a similar goal. The question, the way I see it, is not "why should the Xenos ignore Guild", but "how can the Guild ensure that the Xenos goals and interests aren't harmed by the Guild". Delivering raw materials to the local industries, and taking their products back to our mining operations does not strike me as doing so. I'm also curious as to what "foreign trash" our transports are hauling into Liberty. Delivering foreign produce tends to be something the foreign house hauling companies (or Universal) handle, not us. I will leave this channel open, of course. Got no guncams for ya, most 'o our ships ain't well enough funded to fit those thinga majiggers. Got no complaints for anythin' else, ya plans in Pennsylvania are well an' good. Might I offer ya a simple agreement? I'm assumin' since ya name be the "Independant Miners Guild" ya have some independant fliers, aye? What ya say is all well an' good, but make sure all ya pilots hear what they supposed to be doin' in Liberty, tired of seein' Kusarian and Bretonian goods bein' shipped in. We'll stand for leavin' ya be, unless ya haulin' in foreign made goods or haulin' out Liberty's materials. Vessels that ain't complyin' with dat be facin' some good 'ole Libertonian fury. Sound good? ![]() RE: Encrypted Transmission to IMG| HC from the Xeno Alliance - AeternusDoleo - 03-16-2013 **** Incoming Transmission **** From: Johnathan Sanders To: Unknown contact, ID "XA-Pygmy" Subject: IMG stance in Liberty Encryption: High Greetings again, I would expect nothing more or less. You are quite correct in your assumption that our members are all independent. I am more of a spokesperson then a leader for the Guild. But I will re-issue a warning to our members suggesting that they do not take foreign produce into Liberty. Those who do not heed that warning, will have chosen to accept the consequences.
