(--- SENDER ID: Rina Como-Contari, Familiare ---) (--- CHANNEL ID: 1A0C7 CL Internal Communications Channel ---) Today the Achaea saw her first combat run. It was against an AI Cruiser that decided to engage us after a Kronos was eaten by a sun. The armor plates are a bit charred, but it will be repaired soon.

RE: Contari Lance (CL}) Internal Communications - Irwin - 03-24-2013 The Trieste was scheduled for another foray into Liberty to transport the usual goods, and I decided to oversee the operation from its bridge. Signori Castro and Como accompanied me as the Trieste's escorts. We ran into another smuggler captaining a Dromedary, the La Cavalla Arancione, and we began our smuggling run.
The first event of note occurred in Coronado, by Barrier Gate. We found a Freelancer by the name of Marissa Edson who'd shot at us in Tau-23 yesterday. She wisely offered an apology to the Lance in the form of a million credits. Things were uneventful from then on until we reached Tau-29 on our way back. ----------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------
As we were flying into Tau-29, the captain of the La Cavalla Arancione commented on Rina's background. She began to throw a tantrum as though she were a child, abandoning our group of ships. We were forced to fly into Tau-23 with only one escort, which would prove to end poorly. We jumped into a group of Lost Star vigilantes on the other side, who demanded we abandon our human cargo. They refused to listen to reason, and we were forced to begin making our escape to Cali. ----------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------
We took a lot of damage, and signore Castro's ship was destroyed, but we made it safely onto the base. The same cannot be said for our slaves, however. The Lost Stars damaged a good deal of our merchandise. The lady of fortune smiles upon us however, and we should be able to take the survivors to Malta and put them to work within the next few hours. (--- SENDER ID: Rina Como-Contari, Familiare ---) (--- CHANNEL ID: 1A0C7 CL Internal Communications Channel ---) I have noticed something happening in Dublin Lancieres. It seems to be getting more traffic suddenly, specifically from BMM. If the miners are coming back, then so will the Corsairs. If we protect their miners against those barbarians, we could get in Bretonia's good book. It's something to think about.

RE: Contari Lance (CL}) Internal Communications - Irwin - 03-25-2013 Today's events began with an attack upon Maltese space. The aggressors were not people we traditionally find in our home system, but they were enemies nonetheless. The Order sent a fighter wing of four ships, three of which were light fighters, and one a heavier snubcraft. The Lance raised several defense ships, our largest mobilization to date. The pilots are as follows:
----------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------
Fortunately, our losses served a purpose, and we managed to take down their heavier fighter and a mercenary eagle who arrived to help them. The surviving fighters fled to Tau-23, where we broke the engagement and returned home. On an additional important note, the [101st] were nowhere to be found throughout the entirety of our defense operation. ----------------------------------------------
Hours later, I received a distress call from signora Como, claiming that she was engaged with five attacking ships. According to her, though the [101st] were nearby, they denied her assistance. I arrived quickly after receiving the message, though by then some of the fighting ships were disengaged, with only three hostiles remaining. I immediately moved in to assist her, firing on Anna McCarthy. However, to our confusion, seconds after I engaged, the [101st] at the scene demanded we give her safe passage out of the system and cease our fire. We obeyed, but when we asked for an explanation, we were met with riddles. We jumped to Tau-37 to ensure McCarthy would fly back to Java and cease her operations in our space. She and her comrade, an unimportant member of the Council began firing on Como when we jumped, and the engagement resumed. Once again, we received no help from the [101st]. ----------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------
Eventually, they ceased firing and broke off, running to Tau-23. Shortly afterwards the newest incarnation of the La Villa Strangiato arrived, and I prepared the Trieste for departure with a hold full of Orange. Things went relatively well, we ran into a little bit of conflict in Liberty, but I managed to pay a freelancer to handle what we ran into for us, and we left unscathed. We made it back to Malta safe and sound, with a quite a few credits to show for it. ----------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------
With the current state of the [101st] and the increase of activity in the Dublin system, I believe now's the time to shift operations toward Bretonia. I'll see if I can talk to the Bretonian government about our presence there. RE: Contari Lance (CL}) Internal Communications - bloogaL - 03-27-2013 (--- ACCESSING CHANNEL ---)

---------------------------------------------- Two days ago, Commandante Allesan Contari and I conducted a patrol in to the Tau-23 system. Inevitably, it did not take long for us to stumble across several hostiles. We first ran into a pair of Colonial snub craft - one bomber, one fighter. Realizing they didn't stand a chance, they were quickly joined by reinforcements - a second Nyx and a Unione Corse bomber. The reinforcements, however, arrived too late and in time, three had been dispatched, leaving just one lowly colonial Nyx when a somewhat over-confident Royal Navy fighter arrived. By this time, we had called in our own support in the form of the Lance's own MNS-Sassari, captained by SeƱora Rina Como-Contari. The stupidity of the Gallics clearly knows no bounds as this lone fighter proceeded to open fire on the Sassari. With the Navy fighter distracted with his own foolish attempts at our destruction, the colonial did not take long to finish off. Now, heavily outnumbered, the Gallic was offered a chance of survival. Metal, procured in anyway possible and delivered to us in exchange for his life. Again, the idiota opted for his own death and declined. Before long he was on the run, the three of us on his tail as he fled for the Battleship Guilestre. The chase lead us across the system, right to the doorstep of the Navy battleship. However, his ship took its final blow before he was able to make it inside. In short, a hugely successful patrol. Five confirmed kills and zero losses. ~M. RE: Contari Lance (CL}) Internal Communications - Irwin - 03-27-2013 Lancieres, For once, I'm in a good mood. I'd like to inform you all that construction of the Lance's very own Dreadnought will begin in a few days time. Though not all of the necessary resources have been acquired as of yet, we've managed to get enough materials to begin construction of the hull.
These past few days, I've been doing my best to scavenge for as many supplies possible, and though initially, I was met with empty hands, the path to success has finally shown itself. Yesterday, whilst returning from an Orange distribution run, signora Rina Como-Contari and I stumbled into a Universal Shipping liner with a hold full of various metal alloys. We redirected his route and escorted him to Barrier Gate, where he offloaded his cargo, placing it into our hands where it could be put to better use. I ensured he was paid five million credits for his assistance, despite it being forced. If we're going to screw someone, we should at least do so with class, si? ----------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------- My efforts in Tau-23 earlier today were met with similar results. I was accompanied by signore Marcio Castro as we searched the asteroid fields for hard working prospectors. It wasn't long before we reached one of the Guild's operations. There were easily six or more ships present, and we couldn't have taken the ore by force. As much as I hate the Guild, I made them a business offer which they accepted. Ten million credits went towards the Guild, and they filled the Trieste's cargo pods with niobium ore. I don't expect a deal of this kind to resurface, nor would I want one to. I detest working with prospectors, and I'm glad to be done with them. Truthfully, I hope they believe they got off easily, that will reinforce the shock value when we unveil our construction project. ----------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------- We've more than enough materials to begin construction, though we'll need to find a refinery before we can use that niobium. A full resource report is attached below. ----------------------------------------------

(--- SENDER ID: Marco Santoro the Third of the Maltese Plains, Fanteria ---) (--- CHANNEL ID: 1A0C7 CL Internal Communications Channel ---) Heads up for the fellows in charge. Good morning first of all, or good night if you're by Ibiza base yet. Glad to see the Lance pushing miners in Taus as fine as we've always done, but as I've noticed, the fine assets of the Lance have somehow ditched the other door leading to the Sigmas. Let's cut to the chase, whatever remains from the Santoro, namely me and a few other children running rampant across Liberty, still own part of one of the few Alien Organisms harvesting business that takes part between Omicron Beta and Sigmas, having a 'Pirate Transport' assigned to me while the other two got lost in the way to Liberty as we speak. So indeed, it would be literally awesome for the Lance if the transport could flash the Lance colors while I return to command it on harvesting business while we could possibly start a few snatch-and-grab operations in the Sigmas, if you catch my point. ---------------------------------------------- Signore Santoro, I welcome the addition of your transport into the Lance's arsenal. I'll need the ship's name and other information before it can be formally tagged as one of ours, which can be sent to me over a more private channel. Additionally, should you find yourself with business in the Sigmas, though they are not our primary focus, you're more than welcome to call upon the Lance for assistance. Ciao. (--- SENDER ID: Marco Santoro the Third of the Maltese Plains, Fanteria ---) (--- CHANNEL ID: 1A0C7 CL Internal Communications Channel ---) And some little update before I upload yesterday's report. I was fairly aware that Anna McCarthy was becoming a pain in the arse for Rina Como. That and the fact that she decided to poke her nose yesterday in a brawl around 23 were enough to trigger this little ambush with some fellow Chrysanthemum. Guess what, it worked awesomely fine. Be it another add for the Comandante's legion in the Vizio or simply an excuse to ask the IMG for something in return of her freedom, I will meanwhile have her locked in Ibiza base in case you want to check on her and debate what to do.
