cant access my pms - Toan Varcona - 03-28-2013
hello there i need some serious help here
im in the process of trying to help a freind re build his forum account because hes having email trouble
the problem is i cant even read my private messages, they are they but i keep getting error message , which is going to be a serious problem because most likely i wont be able to read cannons reply to my help request i sent him
this is the message i keep getting from inbox
MyBBMyBB SQL Error
MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.
SQL Error:
1054 - Unknown column 'Guest' in 'where clause'
Query:
SELECT uid, username, usergroup, displaygroup FROM mybb_dgc_users WHERE uid IN (6533,23156,Guest)

You've probably got old messages from before the forum transition still in there. Old messages can't be accessed and also actively break your inbox.
There's an 'Empty Folders' option on the list of options along the top of the inbox. You'll have to purge everything in there, and that should fix it for the future.

ok i emptied them all out, yet when i enter my now empty sent itmes i continue to get the same error, im going to try logging out then back in and see if that helps at all

Right, when you hit Empty Folders, make sure you empty all of the folders - you should be able to clear the sent items from there as well. There'll be check boxes for each folder.

I was wondering about this myself, but it was low on my list of priorities.
Can I just delete all the old PMs and keep the new ones without anything breaking?

Safest to delete everything. Clear folders is indiscriminate and doesn't differentiate between new stuff and old stuff. It's also the only way to remove the old stuff without hitting a wall of error messages.
