Going over 180 FPS - tothebonezone - 03-30-2013 I'll be honest, I really don't get how a high framerate would actually cause problems in-game, but. I have a monster gaming rig, and apparently going over 180 FPS causes severe jittering to other people. I don't reduce my graphics or anything, it's all capped out. Is there anywhere I could find VSync to turn that on? Or any way I could cap my framerate? Thanks in advance. RE: Going over 180 FPS - tothebonezone - 03-31-2013 Bump for justice. Anyone? RE: Going over 180 FPS - Curios - 03-31-2013 Your graf card's control application. RE: Going over 180 FPS - Landers - 03-31-2013 There's a program, called Dxtory. It's similar to Fraps, but you can cap your framerate in applications. I limit my fps to 120, leaving VSync off. Link RE: Going over 180 FPS - tothebonezone - 03-31-2013 Much love, thanks Landers. RE: Going over 180 FPS - Xenosaga - 03-31-2013 You may notice some mouse lag at 60 FPS however, to me the mouse feels a lot more sluggish and imprecise at 60 FPS. Just fix FPS to 120 or so, that should neither cause mouse lag nor jittering. RE: Going over 180 FPS - Valhalla Sr. - 04-02-2013 Well, use Dxtory and limit your FPS there. Edit: I just saw Landers wrote it. |
