I'm contacting you today in the hope my words could touch you, so that you would get a better understanding of our position. Few days ago, we faced yet another rebellion from individuals we once trusted to be our brothers. Those turned against our great house. I have to confess with sadness i doubt this would never happen again, given the situation Kusari is facing. The decision to outlaw the Emperor of Kusari was a difficult one; It did permit Kusari to survive, but at a terrible cost : Social unrest and even violent rebellions that didn't subside after Jien Kogen passing away. Among those rebels, you could find many honorable individuals if your pleasure was to observe that formless crowd. Those men are Kusarians, following our secular traditions. Kusari might need to move forward, but I'm amongst the countless number of warriors facing confusion because of the current state of our society. The Imperial banner was swiftly discaded. The Chrysanthemum throne, empty. The warriors caste is disorganized and discontent to the point it begins to fight against itself. Naval forces suffer from this the most, because of the valors attached to our office. More than a 70% of our personnel is following the Bushido moral code and do consider themselves as Samurai. They need someone who will make their spirit strong and unshakable : An Emperor making them as zealous and unbreakable as in the old times. Those honorable people need you to make this change happen. You did not wish to crown a new Emperor whilst the previous was alive. This stance was understandable as it would have caused even more unrest. But now Jien Kogen passed away, it is time to honor our most ancient traditions, before more determined individuals rise amongst our enemies, as we will soon come to see Kusari divided into two sides. Show us your power, show that you want to keep Kusari united: return their spiritual leader to them, crown a new Emperor. You may ask, but why do we need that? What will we gain from it? or if you already agree with me, who should we nominate? I can answer this question, A brave and young male could legitimately claim the Chrysanthemum throne. He descends from our glorious former Emperor Yammamoto Kobi (721 - 801 A.S) by his mother, Ogasawara Yoko, who was herself the daughter of the former Emperor's sister. Indeed, his bloodline is closer than Kogen's one, as Jien Kogen descended from the first cousin of the Emperor Yammamoto Kobi. Okamoto Kazushige is working as aide de camp in the Naval Forces Admiral circles since nine years, and soon joined the Kusari Sunrise Party with the proclamation of the Republic. This Twenty nine years old officer is on his way to be named in our Parliament, where he will learn the subtilities of the political game. So why should you do this? Answer yourself, do you want your enemies to have unshakeable reason to rally troops against our cause? In one move you will thwart their attempts to jeopardise your rule and sabotage the democratic regime. Also this will give imperialists reason to support your leadsership. Hai there will remain those who oppose this Emperor too, or even worse, usurpers might rise, but truth will be on our side, since the Imperial banner will fly over the Imperial palace on New Tokyo and all who oppose you, will oppose the Emperor and the whole of Kusari. This will also show that you follow the unshakeable traditions of Kusari. Different aspects of our great house might develop, but the basics should be unchangeable and this is one of them. I'll wait for your answer Yokitara-sama and in my great expectations that you will share my views. |
