To: "All honest and hard working Miners of Sirius" - Ponge - 04-19-2013

Greetings.

I'm a miner. On a day a guy appeared in a ship designated PowerTrain, transmitting Freelancer IFF, but using Junkers ID papers. He asked me to mine him copper. I trusted him, and mined him 3610 metric tons of copper. Then he left without paying, saying he "joked" me.
I hereby want to warn all miners of Sirius not to mine for him unless payed in advance.
Thank you for hearing me aout.

Fred Jonner

Hi. Dave Peters of BMM here.

I suggest you head over to the bounty board and put a bounty on his ass. That might make him think twice about pulling a stunt like that again. In the meantime, I'll be sure and let the rest of BMM know.

Thanks for the heads up.

Peters out.

Mr. Jonner,

I'm sorry to hear about your poor experience with this individual. Sadly, some Junkers are not the most trustworthy individuals. I suggest you report the theft to whichever authority you fell under at the time, and see if they can be motivated to pursue the matter further.

But aside from that, it is generally a good idea to demand half the payment up front, especially when dealing with individuals or organisations whom you have not had dealings with before. Individuals that reject such a request are generally untrustworthy.

Regards,

Dear Fred Jonner.

Can you please share what system was that copper intended for?
If it fell in Rheinland space, I will hunt him down and get him to cough up the cash for you.

Longstride out.

RE: To: "All hones and hard working Miners of Sirius" - Ponge - 04-19-2013

Greetings.

The incident happened in the Humboldt copper ore field, but there is no guarantee he won't try elsewhere.
I would not consider him Junker, as his IFF transmission and the papers didn't match, he probably forged his papers. I did bussiness with a lot of Junkers (Congress and indie alike), and no incident happened so far. Please do not generalize, as it was an isolated incident with a separate individual, who may not even be an accepted member of the Junkers.

To be clear, here is the transcript of the Neuralnet comunication:
[19.04.2013 09:22:13] [FT]Pongem: Money?
[19.04.2013 09:22:23] PowerTrain: And that, fine gent, is how you kid a miner.
[19.04.2013 09:22:29] PowerTrain: Nice work bro! Keep it up!
[19.04.2013 09:22:40] Discovery Freelancer is a role-playing server. All attacks must be the result of some form of role play. Shouting "Engaging" or "Halt" is not sufficient.
[19.04.2013 09:22:42] PowerTrain: Mister Scammer guards you!
[19.04.2013 09:22:47] [FT]Pongem: Arem't you paying then?
[19.04.2013 09:22:59] PowerTrain: he's probably going to be filled now xDD
[19.04.2013 09:23:03] PowerTrain: //duh

Thank you for listening me.

Fred Jonner

Mr. Jonner,

Seems I picked this message of yours up after I got GCHQ to divert all Hone's mail to me while he is MIA in case anything important comes up. That does fit my theory of there being many "hones" flying around Sirius, strange...

Anyway, I'll keep an eye out for this Junker if I see him in Bretonia's mineral fields, just in case he decides to do a little thievery on my turf. Be a bit more watchful in the future, and call us when you can.

Regards,
Chief Inspector Thomas Page

Greetings, Chief Inspector Thomas Page.

The title of this conversation got victim of the Typo virus. It is intended to be "honest miners". Is there any way to fix this problem?

Hello there,

Im Hone, a GMG franchise transport captain: http://i53.tinypic.com/nyv7mt.jpg and I saw your message here to me, and... some others? What can I do for you?

Mr. Jonner,

I suspected as much, but that is how things go on the Neural Net. I've changed how it'll appear on the lawful Bretonian channels for you, but how the rest of Sirius sees it I cannot say in advance. You'll still likely get some Hones crawling out of the woodwork from your original message.

Chief Inspector Thomas Page
