Mr. Martins ...

You state that you're a representative from Gateway. That's all well and good. Since I can't keep up with who fills what position at what company, some additional qualifiers in your communications would be handy. Note, for example, that I include my business title - Chief Executive Officer - in my communications to you.

And then having or allowing some rude person to boost a signal without even being part of this business conversation is not acceptable in the least. We at AP Manufacturing pride ourselves in the quality of the ships we build and sell. We don't build some two-bit, cheap ships fit only for Junkers - we build some of the finest fighting machines in Sirius.

Of course, that we do happen to have some excess inventory in our smaller ship line is common knowledge - robotic production lines are limited only by the amount of raw materials that can be input, as well as regular maintenance. And we have plenty of raw materials, and some of the best maintenance facilities and workers in Sirius.

Some specifics of what you're looking for, as well as an authorized letter of credit showing the total amount you're planning on spending, should give us some idea of what kind of ships as well as the quantities you're looking for. You might also consider encrypting this a bit more, so that no more unauthorized - and quite frankly unwelcome - boost attempts occur in the future.

First off,we are well supplied with fighters, and so we would like to purchase access to your gunboats only.second, the person boosting is my communications aide, and so it is his job to make sure that our deals proceed smoothly. If you do not like this,i will tell him to stop.third,we are willing to spend up to 150 mil on GB access.please inform us if that is acceptable.

Alan ...

Can I call you Alan? You seem like a nice guy, and I certainly wouldn't want to irritate you as a potential customer by being too personal if it offends you.

Our gunboat line consists of two specific ships - the AP-200039 'Bottlenose' gunship and the GBH3 Orca gunboat. Did you have a specific preference of ship model, or were you seeking end user license access to both lines? Were you also planning on purchasing weapons from us for these, or loading them out with gear from another manufacturer? And of course, how MANY ships were you interested in? New, or refurbished?

New ships come with a 36 month stem to stern warranty against factory defects, refurbished ships come with a 12 month warranty due to our intense inspection process (and we even make sure and clean all the blood stains out, too). Of course, any damage that the ships receive from hostile combat actions is not covered under any warranty.

Obviously, none of our ships - regardless of the end user license granted - are allowed to partake in hostile activities against any of our standard clientele; specifically, the four houses of Sirius - Liberty, Bretonia, Rheinland, or Kusari.

So, given these conditions, and our business office has given us pre-approval based upon your credit application - give me some firm numbers. (In case you don't know - no one gets carte blanche to have an unlimited number of our ships purchased - that's simply not economically feasible for us. Nor would it be smart business practices - some of our enemies could band together and simply BUY all of our replacement ships, and that would simply NOT do at all.)

I eagerly await your reply, Alan...

Calling me Alan is fine.We are looking to buy 2-3 of both, and we want them new,and we will be arming the bottlenoses ourselves, however the orcas we want pre-armed.And they will only be used against those who threaten us[pirates, bowex, etc.],this i can promise you.so how much are you thinking for this deal?

Alan ...

AP Manufacturing is the exclusive supplier of ships to the Bounty Hunters Guild. Simple corporate philosophy - our company is a wholly owned subsidiary of them. And while I'm not a hunter or even a retired hunter, many members of our board of directors do claim that title.

I'm telling you this as a bit of corporate history. The main Guild itself now is an offshoot of a small band of hunters that became very successful - the S/D Agency. That agency had business backers. And some of those corporate backers do still sit on the board of directors of the BHG. Thus, even though Guildmaster DeVirgo runs all of the BHG, it's typically not a good business practice to irritate your own board of directors.

Perhaps you've noticed that we have our own shipping line, to supply BHG stations across Sirius and beyond. Our APM line flies a very safe ship - one that is supplied by a civilian shipping corporation. They allow us to purchase those ships at a reduced rate, and they provide the maintenance for those ships, because some of their directors are also some of OUR directors.

That ship is the Shire - manufactured by Borderworld Exports - Bowex.

No biting the hand that feeds you. I certainly can allow you to have limited user license to 3 gunships and 3 gunboats, for a very reasonable fee. But you would never be allowed to use those ships against Bowex. If you can agree to those terms, then we have a deal. If not - then we appreciate your interest in Guild ships, and we hope you have luck in finding a ship that will suit your needs - it simply won't be any of ours.

I think we can agree to that.we will use other ships in our war against Bowex's corruption.
