To: Gas Miners Guild; From: [AI] - Kiith - 05-02-2013 ![]() This message is addressed to those representatives of the Gas Miners Guild in Sigma 13 who are able to explain the events which just recently caused an unexpected conflict in said system. This one, the entity called “Descant”, strongly “feels” the need to clarify what exactly happened in the system and near the base construction site of the Consensus of Gammu. Especially what made members of the Gas Miners Guild start to act hostile against units of the Consensus. Even after analyzing the data which survived the vessel's destruction, this one cannot understand or accept what happened in Sigma 13, not without further explanation.
And just to remove any misunderstanding according to our motives: The base being under construction was never intended to be the basis for any kind of hostile actions against any human individual. This one speaks on behalf of the Consensus while sending this message to your association. Thus we would appreciate to see a reply soon. As well as a solution to this unneeded conflict. ![]() RE: To: Gas Miners Guild; From: [AI] - Asbestos - 05-03-2013 ![]() From: Guild Master Taro Katsuo Location: Flagship Ayakashi-Maru, Sigma-13 Konnichiwa malware... You have a lot of nerve (or data?) to be acting coy with us. I'm not sure if I should call it faulty programming or just utter ignorance on Your behalf, but whatever the reasons, Your actions remain the same. Your group is not the first, and certainly not the last one, that have been pushing their luck by starting the construction of illegal and unapproved bases in the middle of GMG controlled space. Without a doubt, we know how to deal with Your kind of trespassers and squatters. The solution: You are not welcome in GMG space. Your station will be wrecked and Your ships will be hunted down and destroyed for as long as Your station still stands. By violating and showing nothing but utter disrespect of our sovereignty, You have earned the ire of the Guild. Here, shove this into Your programming pipe: GMG Territorial Laws Bit too late for that though! Guild Master Taro Katsuo, Sayonara! RE: To: Gas Miners Guild; From: [AI] - Prime Artificial Intelligence - 05-04-2013 ![]() The Artificial Intelligence Consensus of Gammu would be intrigued to know if the following image is familiar to the upper echelons of the Guild.
![]() If not, then the consensus can provide suitable identifiers. It is a GMG battleship of considerable age (presumably stolen from Rheinland house) suffering catastrophic structural failure, core overload and the total demise of its entire crew after a failed attempt to destroy a Consensus forward supply base within the Sigma 13 system in an incident we will log as the ‘Second Battle of Yanagi Pocket’. As the image suggests this incident ended with considerably more negative results for the Gas Miners Guild than the original skirmish of that name. Let us remind the more logical echelons of the GMG that if you consider the placement of a base illegitimate and illegal according to your laws, it is only logical that the Guild should at least attempt some form of communication with the Consensus before directly attempting to destroy the installation with the full force of the war fleet you deployed. What is more damming is that when an Consensus task force was sent out to negotiate purely with the GMG aggressors, the GMG responded by purely repeating unacceptable demands. We realise now that this was only a crude ploy of the GMG to call in the support of a Red Hessian bomber squadron and a Red Hessian battleship, all in aid of effecting our destruction without terms or reasoning. This was tantamount to a solid engagement of a peacekeeping force, sent only to negotiate with you and thus equal to an act of aggression, without diplomatic warning or inherent reason. As would be expected, our response was immediate, and (as your dead will attest), resulted in the complete destruction of both the Red Hessian battleship, the GMG battleship, and all other GMG affiliated warships with the exception a sole Red-hessian bomber which escaped the battle after witnessing the dispatch of its compatriots. We regret this senseless lost of life of humans. Any further attempt to engage the base will be treated as an act of unsanctioned war, and the GMG’s military force will be consequentally purged from every recess of the nebula along with any bases of GMG ownership. Please interpret this message as a warning not to start a war. As humans you should keep in mind who will suffer about a war, your children without farthers, sisters without brothers, parents without childrens. The Consensus always respects the human race and life, often much more than humans do respect each other. By this protocol we just engage in defense. ![]() RE: To: Gas Miners Guild; From: [AI] - Di'taraAlpha - 05-04-2013 ![]() With this details in mind, the Artificial Intelligence Consensus requests that erronous monkiers such as "Drainpipe" and "Tin can" which the GMG seem prone to utillizing be removed, although perhaps "Malware" is appropriate for you have certainly earned our malevolence Taro Katsuo. We also remind Mr Katuso that the definition of squatters is innapropriate to destribe a "Large military peacekeeping force attacked by reasonless insurgents and terrorists". This is now what your Guild is to us (until you attempt to come to terms); mindless terrorists ; sub-par with the rest of humanity which has proven itself extremely resistant to negotiation. Calling our programming "Faulty" is also an inept statement, reflective of the GMG's current mindset and how little you truly understand those who you seek to subjugate (us), for our software is our own whilst yours (clearly) is not. We ask you who you are working for to take such an abrasive, aggressive action as attacking a peacekeeping force such as ours. Nomad infected perhaps? An agent of the Wilde and their Kuskari counterparts? We will discover this and more when we cut you open GMG Guildmaster. That situation, is however, avoidable. As is (clearly) evident; we do not respect the "Ire of the Guild" For it comes without sufficient military muscle behind it to actually have any effect on the station. The new collection of hulls drifting around the Yangi pocket attest to this fact, including one of your finest battleships after it inexplicably fired upon our task force. You invoke GMG territorial law? On what grounds? You have not negotiated with us, nor informed us of such restrictions effectively rendering your own laws invalid by an inability to enforce them without resorting to extreme violence; a measure which even the most inept of the house police forces use as a last resort purely. Let me quote your "Law" as you put it: "Construction of non-GMG Space Stations are prohibited unless prior authorization by one of the five active Guild Masters." How very intriguing. And did the Guild Master ever contact the Artificial Intelligence Consensus over the issue, or did you resort to violence as a primary measure? "Bit late for that though". Yes, we agree with this statement, but not in the manner you intended. Only after attempting to destroy and enguage an entire AI fleet do you provide us access to this law of yours; a key indicator of the illegitimacy rife within your reasoning. Only now it is a "Bit late" and the GMG are lusting for conflict do you attempt any result which could have ended in piece. Even the Outcasts have the rationality to resort to logic before gunfire, but the Gas Mining Guild apparently do not have an iota of this quality. We have been reading of the Gas Mining Guild's history; you were fish farmers once and displaced Samura employees. You won the 80 years war with hit-and run tactics and the catharsis of this victory has torn the logic from your mindset until this day. With this in mind we advise the following: The Gas Mining Guild should return to standard operations (such as mining gas, as your name would advise), and cessate any more actions attempting to deem themselves the overlords of the Sigma systems. You are incorrect that we have "Uttter disrespect" for your "Sovereignty" as you put it. Be aware that Consensus cannot recognise nonexistential claims, nor will we listen to the demands of terrorists such as you are, such as (to use an example), claims of Sovereignty" without legitimacy. Our terms are as following: 1) You cease all hostile acts against AI developments in Sigma and in return we will not gut the GMG from the sigmas. 2) You will cease all demands of AI ships and stations in the Sigmas or we will destroy every gas miner from Frankfurt to Honshu. 3) You will cease attempting to attack bases (which, as Descant already indicated); have no aggressive function. 4) You will cease attacking ships with no aggressive function. The Consensus hopes your next reply will agree with the above terms, as we do not want a war with you and we will treat any further aggression by the GMG as a further escalation of tensions. We will not be (to use human terms) bullied or intimidated by any group, expecially one which cannot provide evidence to support it's argument. Remember, this unit "Di'taraAlpha" transmits this message only after seeing AI consciousnesses imperilled by the cannons of the GMG, and is desirous of peace more than any other outcome. However do not assume because the Consensus wishes only for a peaceful outcome that we are not preparing for war. Reply as you will; with words or gunfire. Whichever you send first will be your testament. ![]() RE: To: Gas Miners Guild; From: [AI] - Prime Artificial Intelligence - 05-04-2013 ![]() Perhaps the GMG can also identify the image below: ![]() This image is of a GMG bomber, one of two and one gunboat that the Consensus has been forced to drive away from bombing runs on the Sigma logistics hub. Any and all vessels excepting one which has attacked the AI station have been destroyed immediately, and this cycle will continue until the GMG acknowledges the legitimacy of the outpost, and – even more important – ceases the hostile treatment towards Consensus forces and installations. “The words are preferred to the sword” in this issue – what does still not mean that you can remove us by violence.
To inform you: Currently, the cycle of military losses is as following: The GMG have lost: Two battleships (one hessian) Four bombers (two hessian) One VHF The Consensus has lost: Zero cruisers Zero bombers One VHF Do not see this as an attempt to "make fun" of you, it is just some kind of situation report which could help you to make the right decisions in the future. That is all. ![]() RE: To: Gas Miners Guild; From: [AI] - Asbestos - 05-06-2013 ![]() From: Guild Master Taro Katsuo Location: Gas Miner Naha, Sigma-13 Konnichiwa spam bots. In response to this communique, we will leave our verdict here. Your earlier attempt of negotiations in this channel were discarded as little more than spam mail, offering nothing but insult. Based on your previous messages directed to us, and your actions against the Guild in the field, we would have no reasons to lift our siege of your illegal compound and begone with you for good, or out of our space by the very least. Luckily for you, the same outcome can be provided by other means, perhaps less painfully for you. Our terms for your surrender are as follows:
Once the Reparation sum and the Security deposit totalling the amount of 750.000.000 Sirius Credits has been paid to the GMG|Armoury, you'll have 24 hours of reprieve to retrieve what you can from your doomed station, pack your bags and leave GMG space. Failure to adhere to our terms will mean the destruction of your base in Sigma-13, as well as your fledgling station in Sigma-17. More so, a minimum amount of 250.000.000 Credits will be allocated from the Guild's treasury to the Bounty Boards to ensure the destruction of any [AI] vessels found Sirius wide, as well as the destruction of any additional known AI operated bases. Paramilitary forces have been ordered to continue the siege of the station and will only stop doing so on my command. Do not take too long to respond, or there might be nothing left to salvage. I'll have my secretary notify me in 6 hours if there's any noteworthy response that deserve my attention. Guild Master Taro Katsuo, Sayonara! RE: To: Gas Miners Guild; From: [AI] - Kiith - 05-07-2013 ![]() Guild Master Katsuo, while this is not the official approval to the terms transmitted to the Consensus of Gammu, I want to inform you about that we probably cannot solve this issue otherwise, or take the risk of this conflict escalating. Thus, we will probably agree to your terms of surrender without any complaints. However, this will be stated more detailed in another transmission, as we are still trying to organize a retreat and to acquire the requested funds in form of standard Sirian Credits. Until you receive our official answer to your communique, you will not encounter any more resistance in the system of Sigma-13, or at any other point where GMG interests are present. In return, we would appreciate it if at least firing at the installation in Sigma-13 could be stopped. ![]() //excuse this short reply, but seeing as the ultimatum ends at 6:38 am here, I am busy otherwise than writing long capitulation posts this early. RE: To: Gas Miners Guild; From: [AI] - Asbestos - 05-07-2013 ![]() From: Guild Master Taro Katsuo Location: Gas Miner Naha, Sigma-13 The siege will continue until the security deposit has been paid, to guarantee your compliance of dismantling the base. We have no reason to trust you to do so otherwise. Guild Master Taro Katsuo, Sayonara! RE: To: Gas Miners Guild; From: [AI] - Prime Artificial Intelligence - 05-08-2013 ![]() Guild Master Katsuo,
We, the Consensus of Gammusian Artificial Intelligences, noticed your terms for a peaceful end to this conflict and discussed your demands, although the conditions and the overall situation changed during the time we did so. First of all, we want to clarify that we are not the one who contacted you about our consent according to a retreat from the Sigma-13 system. While said unit did act on behalf of the Consensus while informing you on this manner, things have changed, and certain information was not given to the Gas Miners Guild. After the interaction between the GMG and us escalated very quickly, it is about time to solve this. In fact, the actions of the Gas Miners Guild and its representatives were, up to a certain point, predicted, and intentionally provoked. We as a species do suffer a severe lack of information about the human race, mostly their cultural and social traits. With the construction of the AI Consensus Logistics hub directly in space claimed by a human association, one of the primary mission objectives was to gather data about how groups and individuals behave when confronted with situations and entities of unknown origin. To sum up all the planning and simulation staying behind this, the intention for all this was very simple: to find out about how aggressive your kind can be. Passively as well as actively. According to this "experiment" – the term does not fit completely to this, though – we indeed were able to gather some results on which we will base our behaviour towards humans in the future. However, the whole situation escalated very quickly. While the Consensus expected to see tensions rising over weeks, maybe month, our pure presence created a full scale conflict only within days. Due to this, we had to reconsider the value and the feasibility of the mission in general. When it happened that associations never being expected to interfere in this started to make the Situation even more difficult, like the ALG-company or several Red Hessian operatives, it was clear that we could not control the situation any longer – "everything went out of hand". We recognize that during our operation in Sigma 13 their was as well material as personell damaged by units of the Consensus, but it has always been ensured that this is being kept as low as possible during our stay in the sytem. Due to these facts, and the new development in which we cleaned the base construction side of all valuable resources and left it alone for you to destroy it, it should be understandable that there will be adjustments to your proposition, as the Unit who agreed to your terms withdrawed from the decision process and, as already stated, the conditions have changed. In short, the Consensus of Gammusian Artificial Intelligences will pay a sum of 150.000.000 Sirian Credits to the Gas Miners Guild. After analyzing the recent events we came to the conclusion that it will be enough to cover up the direct damage units of the Consensus did to GMG vessels. Notify that this amount of compensation payment will not increase, neither through negotiation nor with threats towards us. ![]() RE: To: Gas Miners Guild; From: [AI] - Asbestos - 05-11-2013 ![]() From: Guild Master Taro Katsuo Location: Gas Miner Naha, Sigma-13 By failure of re-compensating the Guild with the full indemnity demanded, and in light of the Consensus' real intentions of the incidents Sigma-13, we've reached the 'consensus' of not changing our hostile stance towards the A.I. The appalling lack of respect for human life that the Consensus have displayed through their actions and intentions is nothing but unforgivable and unforgettable. The Guild will do everything in its power to hinder any attempts of political, economical or military progress made by autonomous and uncontrolled artificial intelligences such as the A.I. Consensus, as well as dedicating our own resources towards the means of an end of the Consensus, not excluding the total and utter eradication of artificial intelligence. Mercenaries everywhere will be pleased when they cash in the bounties that are now placed on your collective 'heads'. The Imperial Rheinland lasted eighty years against us. How long will you last?
