I'm sure any and each of you met them . They insta-lag between 40-90 when entering a fight . And i'm talking here about those "players" that had no lag 10 secs before engaging , and i'm not talking about large fights . Some of them , miraculous , loose their lag after we PM them , strange ...
So , what can we do about ? They brake the fun , and most of them only lag to gain an unfair advantage .
And for those who would think such - no , i haven't been killed lately by them so i'm not frustrated , but i meet them daily .

It is an RP server. Why should PvP performance matter?

100 - lag = x
100 + loss = y
x + y = z
z / 2 = the percent of damage your weapons will do.
edit: then you could add your ping as 0.5% for each millisecond, so 300 ping grants an extra 150% damage, while 100 only grants you a 50% bonus.

It does matter when all peps in my group telling me they can't even hit the bombers because they jump all over the screen .
Is an RP server , WHY the lagers do PvP in the first place if they know they lag so bad ? I tell you why , because some of them do that intentionaly and that is not ok .

Anyway, some people start to lag just because it is what happens. I sometimes enter fights, where I have 60 ping, then people start shooting and it skyrockets to 150 ping or suddenly loss/lag shows up. When everyone stops shooting, the lag is gone.
It has something to do with the game itself, although surely there are people who use lag generators and torrents. There is no real way to stop them either, because some people have a bad connection and they would be cut off from the server.

I am talking about situation when only 2 bombers attacks me , we are only 3 peps in , lets say , Gamma , and after i start hitting them they sudenly start laging .
You are an old player , i'm sure you know exactly what i ment .

It happens some players start experiencing lag when pewfests happen. Heck, when I'm ready to depart from let's say T23 and a big party starts between IMG forces, Outcasts, freelancers, mercenaries, lag starts for me, making it neigh impossible to evade and escape. But jumped into another system, and voila, lags gone.
Sure, there are people who go lagging intentionally, but some folks live in the countryside, or have a shared connection with other people in the household or have other perfect legitimate reasons. Going around and thinking that nearly all those you encounter in fights whom start lagging after guns gone hot is a little bit paranoid, in my opinion.

My ping shoots up to 600ms from 400ms ping when I start PVP. Lag goes from 10% to 60% easily. Sometimes it goes so high it kicks me.
It's just ANZLAG.
I don't think there's a deal with it situation, unless you can convince my country to vote Labour and put in the NBN so we're not running a third world internet connection.
