Ok first of all: im not going to blame anyone for anything, this here is a true story and is open for discussion.

I was flying my Trader char on the standard berlin>kyushu route. When suddenly 3-4 corsairs appeared out of nowhere and challenged an Outcast group of 2 (i think they were better equipped but that's not the point here)

This I saw as a chanse to wake up my Mercenary character that was stationed on gas miner station there and offer the highest bidder my assistance. Those guys were fast....i mean REALLY fast, when i changed my character the fight was already over, i docked out and greeted the victor:

Ok, i saw my problems:

1) i had a liberty gunboat, yes, i got sick of people telling me i cant play with them if i don't buy this don't buy that.... so i just bought the best i could find.

2) I still have that annoying BH tag, i cant make it go away: even Buddha would be angry at me after failing so many missions.... but BH just wont let go of me. I want to be as nautral as it gets but i dont know how to do it.

3) i didnt fight back...so they probably think im weak, just a note: I WAS NOT HOSTILE!! and i rarely get the chanse to smoothe my rep between corsairs and outcasts. How come the only quality RP responses i get come from mayor houses while most pirates i came across sound like 8-year-old children with far to dangerous toys and no sense for RP. (im not a saint myself, but at least i try.)

I was shot down with no explanation. They didn't take time to look at my ID or ask wtf am i doing here.
Their process was:

1) *laughing* seeing just another victim

2) to reduce the distance of 7k as fast as they could

3) to strike LIGHTNING FAST (im truly amazed btw:mellow:) without question

4) brag about it

see for yourself:

..yes...i was a bit frustrated, but no big deal, ill get over it :P

as you can see it was only after my death that a "normal" conversation happened

"First shoot, then ask?" << is this right? is it wrong? or am I just being "over-zealous"?

P.S. with this post i apologise if offended anyone, you seemed sure of your actions so i was confused and started this open topic. Please don't flame, i myself need more feedback since i obvously still dont understand how politics work:rtfm:

A mercenary with a Liberty Gunboat and BHG IFF is a mercenary who is demonstrating a history of working with the enemies of pirates of all types, so you should expect to be attacked by any unlawful you come across. If you want to lose the BHG tag, kill BHG ships. They are the easiest ones to find in all of Sirius, and harming enough to lose the BHG IFF won't affect your other reps very much. Blow them up until the BHG rep is neutral, then dock and launch and the IFF should disappear.

Well in fairness to the guy he blotted out the names. BUT left the faction, so its kind of putting the factions under the spotlight.

Look at the context. Sig 13 is on the most proftable and contested trade route in Sirius.

Everyone is anxious there.

It's home to outstanding pirates and lawfuls, both in terms of Rp and PvP.

It is also home to complete muppets who kill kill kill. Even zoners ave been known to fire on pirates there and get whupped as a result.

My experience of both these factions (i am a member of neither) is that they are more the former than the latter. There is a large bounty on the OPG heads, so they are, obviously, wary. And gunboats are powerful adversaries, so its best to remove the threat sooner rather than later.

but here I am, explaining things for bloody pirates...

you'll be more wary next time.

Kos means to place someone in a special list such that the person would be hunted down in every occasion he confronts the people those who placed him in that list.
